Thanks to everyone who has listed their complaints about Ramada, you have saved me alot of $$$. Yesterday 4-23-03 I received one of Ramada's scam vouchers. Of course I called I talked to Adam he seemed really nice and when I told him I would not use my credit card to do the down payment which was $698 and then in 18 months of course I would pay an additional $698 for my fiance to go with me on the hell vacation of a lifetime. He said the same, 'this is a one time offer and as soon as we disconnect the offer is no longer valid. I asked if there was any other way to make a payment without using my credit card and of course I had to get my fiances ok. He said I'll let you talk to my supervisor of course was the infamous JACKIE I've heard others comment about. She said if I could send her a money order for $87 by next week she could hold my vacation for me, being the volnurable person I am I said ok. I really am pissed now that I know I have been lied to, mostly because During this so called trip my fiance and I were going to get married on this vacation somehow. Now I have not only been cheated out of a dream vacation but, also a dream wedding and honeymoon combo. We've been engaged now for 3 years and have been waiting for the perfect opportunity to finally say our vows. We both thought this vacation would be the most memorable experience for us both and we had even considered taking our 3 children so they could be there with us during this special time. I WOULD JUST LIKE TO THANK ALL OF YOU OUT THERE FOR SPEAKING OUT ABOUT THIS GIANT SCAM WHICH SEEMS TO HAVE BEEN GOING ON FOR YEARS. WHO KNOWS WE COULD'VE BEEN ON THE TRIP HAVING THE WEDDING FROM HELL! Charity portland, Indiana

Honeymoon ideas, many legitimate ones are available

Hi-

Your posting really touched me. I hope you get any money back that you may have sent. There is an ex-employee that explains how in these postings. Read on.

I wanted to share with you that many legitimate options are available for your honeymoon. Not only do I travel very much. But I also was recently married. We went to South America and Los Angeles and Palm Springs. I did a great deal of research to make these extraordinary plans hit our budget. Here are some tips.

You don't have to sign up for Travelocity and other large sites. Various other sites use their engines, without having to sign up. For example, if you go to MSNBC, got to travel, this one uses either Travelocity or Expedia. America Airlines uses the expedia engine That means that you can go there and run a search. Plus at American Airlines' website, they have some packages they throw together which are well priced (generally 3 or 4 days, including air and hotel, or air and hotel and car rental). Southwest Airlines has a good travel engine. I rarely use their airlines because of the lack of assigned seating.

But I pick off car rentals and hotels from their site. There are various sites that search for airfares. And it pays to use various. Some engines are just superier as they accomodate flexible dates, even flexible locations. I find these by using google or dogpile, and entering a phrase like 'compare airfare' or 'cheap hotels in Venezuala.' I think Panama is an excellent place to go right now, as is Venezuala. And you don't have to go with a package. Make your own. This kind of freedom is more conducive to a honeymoon. The last thing we anted was someone telling us to be ready somewhere, with our bags packed, at a specific time.

Tell us how it went.

Thank You
