Ripoff Report Verified Safe

Statue Records somehow make money off of distributing music by unheard of bands. They hoard around soundclick.com and ask people if they can put out thier music.

The service is free. You have the option to pay $100 to have your band on the Statue Records website. I paid this, and also wasted hours and hours mastering songs and designing/formatting artwork and sent it off to Statue Records. The site says that my CD is 'available' along with atleast 20 others, but they provide no way of ordering it. And you can't call to order because nobody picks up the phone and they will not call back.

I have been trying to get in touch with the company for about 2 months now. My album (a butterfly-eaten horse head) was supposed to be out Dec. 8, 2004, and it is still not ready. I am not sure I will ever see my album. Statue Records took my money and ran.
