Hillsboro, AlabamaFortune Hi-Tech Marketing has changed compensation plan. Reason why I think from all the negative publicity. I have has over 400 emails from reps upset. Everything I said was true. Now they have went from 99$ to 199$ to 249$ to 349$ in less than 2 years.
Over 50K reps you do the math. I will break it down 1 more time they have stop charging 399$ for th training fee because that is a illegal pyramid. But they raised there manager fee.
They offered Excel reps a home 1/2 off because they went bankrupt. I made 1000's of dollars with Fortune but I put 1000's out. How when I was in it costed 199 the company paip me upto 380$ with training money. Now people stay how do they stay in business good question here is the answer the 399$ the trainers was paying was covering Paul's expense.
Now I figure the A.G. wrote a friendly letter and told them that was a pyramid scheme. So they had to raise the price to 349 to cover all the people doing what I was doing 'BONUS BUYING'
I predict Fortune will be bankrupt just like Excel is now. Kenny Trout was the smartest man cashed in anow is 1 of the 400 ricest man. Pick up a forbes magazine a check it out. Oh did I mention he live in kentucky now.

Fortune Hi Tech Marketing, The truth......
I would like to clear the air about Fortune Hi-Tech Marketing. I am not sure if Larry was a Fortune rep and he didn't put enough effort into his business with Fortune which caused him to be upset enough to slander this company? I don't know what he put $1000.00's of dollars into?? If you were going to pay for anything it would just be things that you were already paying for. Cell phone, cable, home security system, etc, but your getting paid for using them through the company.
First I would like to say that I have been blessed to have met the owner of Fortune Hi-Tech Marketing, Paul Orberson and I had to laugh at Larry's accusations. Paul is the most humble, giving, laid back, caring individual for being worth over $200 million dollars. He had said to me during a conversation, 'If my plane were to go down on my way home, my money is not going to save me' That comment in itself should tell you how humble this man is. If you would read the article in Self Made Millionares, they did an investigation and an interview with Paul himself.
The question was, Did Paul Orberson create the best company ever? They decided that this was the most generous MLM company ever that they would never write another article about any other MLM company because no company will ever come close to Paul's.
The fee to get into this company is $299.00. This may seem like alot, but think about it, a new rep is brought into this company, they pay their fee, but wait, Paul puts out more than what was paid to get in. Not only is someone who sponsored this person getting paid $100.00-$200.00 , another rep is making $5.00, while another rep is making $100.00-$390, ect. In reality, does this seem like Paul Orberson is ripping us off?
All of the comments about this being a pyramid scheme. Don't you work for a pyramid? Every company has an owner who is bringing in the most money. There has to be a manager, and wait, employees. The employees get paid the least amount of money, yet they are the ones who are making the company successful. Why would all of these tier one companies like General Electric, T-Mobile, Dish Network be involved in a pyramid scheme? They wouldn't. We just get paid by advertising dollars by these companies.
Think about it. These companies have been paying celebreties millions of dollars to do commercials, for what? Hopefully to gain a few customers. They are starting to change their approach. Why not pay us to do word of mouth advertising? We only get paid when we bring them the customer. Isn't this a more logical approach??? We sell more than some of these companies themselves.
People too weak to follow their own dreams will always find a way to discourage yours.
Word of advice. Do not believe everything that you hear over the internet. Investigate your thoughts, but know that there is more valid info out there. We will be featured in The Summer issue of Success from home magazine in 2007. There are alot of successful reps in this company, you could be one of them. You get out what you put into it. Do you have the vision?
Sincerely,
Holly
The best company I've ever seen!
I don't know where Larry got all his information from, but the fee for going into your 'Own Business' has only gone down over the years while the compensation plan has gone up.
I am a rep in this wonderful company and will have my first promotion this weekend which is only 5 months into the company. Some have done it in just days. You can reach your goals only by your own efforts. I have vision and passion for helping myself and others. I will leave a legacy behind along with thousands of people that just gave themselves a chance.
Yes, Paul Orberson is a very wealthy man, Larry, but not because of this company. He made it in Excel and used millions of his own dollars to build this Fortune for you and others. Take advantage of it!!! If you look down on it now, don't talk too loud because someday this company is going to be a household name and 'Oops!'
I have met the owner along with many other top people in this company and I have every opportunity that they did to get to where they are. It's all up to me and what I reach for. I have been so blessed to have this come into my path, I will share with everyone I know. You don't have to live paycheck to paycheck working for the other man. Stop making other people rich! You deserve this!
Not only do you get commission for all the stuff you use, but also of your downline and guess what? You have access to great deals in your rewards mall~~~over 600 stores! You can't not see this. I don't see how anybody can miss it. Check this out again Larry. You are one step closer than a lot of people. You know it's out there. Be you friends' hero and share this. Good Luck!

FHTM will make Millionaires!!
Hello. When I started reading this report, I really got a kick out of it. There are so many people out there who have been 'ripped off' with other companies, and they won't give any other company a chance...and who can blame them, right??
So, how can you tell one company from another? How can you make a educated, conscious decision whether or not to 'buy into' one of these companies? I recommend you research the company. I don't mean to type in a couple of words and read the first search result that pops up. (That is how I found this report). What you need to do is really research the companies. Call the corporate office, ask to speak to the someone high up in the company. You could possibly even ask to speak to the CEO. With our company, I am sure if you called our home office and expressed your true concern and interest in our company, our wonderful company reps will answer any question you have.
FHTM is not an illegal pyramid. The million dollar companies that we represent DO NOT let anyone market for them, unless they are a true, lagitimate company. Those companies came to Fortune, to ask us to help them gain some loyal customers. THey can spend millions of dollars in advertising for a TV commercial, and gain just a few hundred customers, who usually leave as soon as they see a better deal. Instead, they pay FHTM those millions of dollars to bring them loyal customers (by word of mouth) and Fortune passes over 90% of it's profit (those advertising dollars from the million dollar companies) to us, the Managers, Regional Managers, etc. There is nothing illegal about that.
This company was created by a wonderful man who's main goal is to help make regular people (like me) wealthy. He knows what it was like to live week to week, month to month, and wants to help others get out of the rat race like he was so fortunate to do. If you research it, you will see that he was 'Excel's' top money earner. HE made over $1 million a Month, every month consecutively for four years. Knowing this, you should understand that he knows about the network marketing industry......which is why he knows how to structure this company for maximum growth and profit.
If you go to Staples or Barnes and Noble, check out the 'Success from Home' magazine. It is a third party magazine that was put out and tells about our company. Also, you can go to www.whyfortunenow.com to read all about our company. Fortune Hi Tech Marketing is a 100% lagitimate company. You begin in our company as a Manager. Yes, it is $299 to get started. But where else can you become a representative for so many million dollar companies and be able to make monthly residual income from them, all without having overhead, inventory, headaches, etc. We work from a website, which is worth a million dollars itself! You can send anyone, anywhere, anytime, to the internet, to your site, and they can order any product or service from you. Then, every month when they pay their bill, you get a percentage of it back as residual income! How can that be a mistake? For only a $299 investment......you can start to build a business, from home & part-time, that will enable you to become as wealthy as you want to be.
As you wait for your residual income to build, because it doesn't just instantly make you a millionaire overnight, there is a bonus system set up like no other you will ever see. The compensation plan is phenominal, and has set all of the network marketing records, because it has never been done this way and to this extent. Just research it for yourself.....remember, if you don't take the time to really research any company, you won't get the truth!
This is not just my personal opinion, and I am not just saying this because I am a rep for this company. I have done all of the other businesses....ya know, the ones where you sell products in bulk.....sell juices, pills, car clubs, etc. I do not mean that any other of the companies don't 'work', however, whenever you have to keep an inventory, make a monthly quota, or go door to door, you are just running yourself around, and missing out on a better businesses.
Thanks for taking the time to read this. Just remember to take my advice and Research the company. PLEASE, do not write mean, incorrect things about a company that you know nothing about. Please make educated comments based on fact, not just 'what you heard or read'.
Thanks.
Here are the important questions that should be answered...
I'm considering this opportunity but these are the questions I feel should be answered for me and anyone looking into your opportunity.
1. How many people that register recover their investment within 30 days? Please break this down in percents. If x amount of people came on board last year what % recovered their investment within 30 days, 60 days and 90 days? What percent of people never recover their investment?
2. What does the top 5% do, 10% do, 15% do and break this down to your top 40%.
3. How much money is made on the registration fees as opposed to products sold? Please break this down in detail.
4. Break down the attrition factor in detail. If x amount of people joined last year, what percent stopped the program after 30 days, 60 days and continue to break this down for 24 months.
I thank you in advance for taking the time to answer these questions in detail and assist me in making an informed and intelligent decision in moving forward with your company.
Kind regards,

Feeling Sorry For You All
I really feel sorry for people who claim MLM's to be pyramids and schemes. Before I ever joined Fortune I did extensive reasearch on it because I am not one to plunk down money for nothing. I have had many say 'Nice Pyramid' or that's a big scam! What do people think this whole world is about? The people who are in their nice secure thinking and boat say 'Oh I'll stay here because it's secure' In this they stay in their get rich never job because they are always working for the 'man' never getting ahead. There are too many myths about Fortune that need to be cleared! Paul did not find this company to make him millions he didn't even need the money! Also people think it so neccesary to recruit friend and relatives to buy products and services-not true! You do not need to buy your own products and services it is a just a suggestion. People also think you need to recruit 50 million reps and that is totally not true commissions are paid on customers products and services recruiting is just a bonus to earn immediate income. People need to look around the whole world is network marketing! If you own yor business what do your employees gain are they making the same wages you are? Will they ever surpass you? Employees are your advertising and your leverage to gain more sales so what is the difference between Fortune and a real job or business other than you get to gain so much more and pass up your boss! It is just crazy and very sad that people are so set in their ways and are afraid to take a chance. Fortune sells itself either people get it or they don't and the reps are not forced to sell the idea or products we just move on to people who think outside the box and get it. It's like selling a house or a car the house or car sells itself because someone is already interested in buying it. It is not the salesman who makes the decision! Wake up people network marketing is all around you! whether you like it or not!

Tell the truth Larry
Larry;
First of all, you don't even have the costs correct and that is not your only problem. You failed to mention that no respectable, tier 1 fortune 500 company would allow their corporation, publically traded I might add, to be involved in any pyramid scheme like you claim that Fortune Hi-Tech Marketing is, Especially not companies like Home Depot, Verizion Wireless, Cingular, Nextel, Sprint, Alltel, Macy's, Sears, Best Buy, Circuit City, Dell computers, HP, just to name a few; there are many others, incluiding the number two travel site in the world, Travelocity; and lets not forget Dish Network.
And there are over 750 tier 1 corporations that have come to and continue to have Fortune Hi-Tech Marketing be their marketing arm. Why? It's simple; they know that when a company such as Fortune brings them loyal customers, those customers stay, Why? Because people like getting paid back for their shopping efforts at those businesses that they already shop at and they get to be their own best customer, simple.
How much would you spend to get loyal customers that will stay doing business with you year after year? And if Fortune Hi-Tech Marketing is the Evil company that you claim, why was Paul Orberson featured in two very important magazines in 2007 Millionaire Blueprint magazine February 2007 issue, and Success from Home Magazine August 2007 issue? Are these reputable publications lying?
Larry, I just think that you didn't make it and so now you are mad and have filed this rip off report. I believe that if anyone wants to check out the information for themselves, especially those good folks here at rip off reports, directly with the owner and founder of Fortune Hi-Tech Marketing Paul Orberson, then they should contact Paul directly at his Lexington Kentucky headquarters at the following address and phone #:

FHTM Meets ALL 6 Needs of Human Existence!
I am just getting started in Fortun Hi-Tech Marketing, so maybe I haven't been involved long enough to post a rebuttal. However, I have been around long enough in life (42 yrs) to know when someone else's hard work is making a major contribution to the world; And to recognize when others fail to acknowledge this contribution because their own need to be recognized is being fulfilled on a very low level.
A Little Education:
There are 6 needs for existence we ALL have, that must be fulfilled. (Although, many people will violate 5 needs for the sake of getting 1 met because they're really out of balance!)
Each need can be met thru 4 Levels of Attainment.
The lowest level (Level 4) would be the knuckle-dragging level of total unconsciousness. This level is where human atrocities have their roots. It is a case of 'The Lights Are On, But No One's Home!'. In a nutshell: It doesn't feel good. It's NOT good for you. It's NOT good for others. And, it's NOT good for the whole!
Level 3, is a bit more conscious. The 'home-owner' has electrical problems and the 'light' flickers inconsistantly, being off, more than it is on. In a nutshell: It feels good. But, it's NOT good for you. It's NOT good for others. And, it's NOT good for the whole!
Level 2 is a very high level indeed- it is where a person is creating from a position of total consciousness, being in charge of their lives- only they're not yet walking on water, raising the dead, or healing the sick because they're still learning how to create from a Level 1 position, only they're a bit stuck in the idea that their needs are still being met from outside of themselves, instead of meeting them from the inside-out. In a nutshell: It doesn't always feel good. But, it's GOOD for you. It's GOOD for others. And, it's GOOD for the whole! (This can be easily applied to something like quitting a bad habit.)
Level 1 is the level of attainment where spiritual masters reside. They KNOW they are at one with their Source, and that everything starts within. Therefore, they seek ways to bring forth their needs for existence by first generating those needs from within, and pressing them outward. In a nutshell: It FEELS good. It's GOOD for you. It's FABULOUS for others. And, it's FANTASTIC for the whole!
Now then- without going into major detail here... (But, stick with me- this is important!) The Six Needs for Existence are...
1- The need for SECURITY 2- The need for VARIETY 3- The need for SIGNIFICANCE 4- The need for CONNECTEDNESS 5- The need for GROWTH 6- The need to make a CONTRIBUTION
(For the record, there's a whole web page going into detail about all this, just google 'The Secret Formula'.)
Now, back to Fortune Hi-Tech Marketing: My partner and I have done extensive research on this company before signing up. (We already have 3 other successful businesses but, like everyone else, it's still been a challenge to make ends meet. Especially since we have to phsycially work so incredibly hard!) We consider ourselves intelligent, enlightened individuals who are not prone to the 'Rope-A-Dope' game. EVERYTHING we discovered (and continue to discover) about FHTM has been nothing short of amazing perfection!
Fortun Hi-Tech Marketing has managed to create a channel for others to get ALL their 6 Needs for Existence met, on both a Level 2 and Level 1 Attainment factor! (The part that doesn't feel good is moving beyond one's own fears and insecurities to see the beauty of what they're offering! But it is GOOD for you!) They may not be walking on water... but I do honestly believe they are well on their way!
People, before you drag your knuckles over the works of this fine company, please enlighten yourselves further by doing your homework! FHTM is offering people a way OUT of their illusions of debt and poverty. If you don't want to live a prosperous life, then by all means, feel free to crawl back to your dark world of poverty and victimization. But, if you're looking for a way to empower yourself (and your friends and family!) and a way to really feel secure, inspired, and motivated- THIS IS THE COMPANY who can help you achieve it!
BTW: We made back our measely 299.00 within the first week! (Shoot- we spend more than that at Wal-mart or the feedstore!) Money is an illusion... quit letting it control your lives! Start learning how to master it- and get yourself around others who already have!

Interesting Comments
I don't know Larry's story; all I know is what Larry stated above. He has the company responding directly to him, I hope he was one of the resolved complaints I saw on the BBB's website. In my opinion they worked well to resolve any issues, look it up yourself and be the judge.
This is not Illegal !
In my opinion this company has one of the best compensation plans I have ever seen ! (and I have done and looked at many over the last 10 years)
I just started my business with Fortune Hi-Tech Marketing and I couldn't be more excited.
Here is the link to the site that you can get when start your own Fortune Hi-Tec Marketing Business http://www.fhtmus.com/8171141
You can see that the products, services, and the business is for real. If the URL gets removed search the web for the companies home page, or another Rep's site.
This is not an ILLEGAL PYRAMID as stated above. If this was illegal the Attorney General would shut it down.
I'm glad to see the support of the company and other Rep's above. Good luck to the other entrepreneurs here.
Last but certainly not least...
Paul,
Thank You for starting such a great Business. I know that you could have easily retired and not done it, but you didn't.
So thanks again,
What?
Larry, how could you have made thousands of dollars in Fortune and be so far off base about how it works? I am a fortune rep and this posting makes no sense to me whatsoever. Paul Orberson had nothing to do with Excell going bankrupt. The only thing he is guilty of is making the company worth as much as it was because of his hard work. Did you not notice all of the Fortune 500 companys that we represent? I understand your right to say what you want about fortune because it may not have worked for you. But it is also my right to say how great this company has been for me!

People that Do not know what they are talking about should keep quiet!
I do not know exactly where to start with your statement. First, the sign up fee is $299. From that fee there is over $500 in bonus money paid out to the up-line people. So this is not where Fortune makes it' s money.
2nd, does the word slander and liable mean anything to you? You might want to look up those words and call someone with legal aid. Why? Because I am going to forward a link to your post to Fortune. You say that what they are doing is illegal.
I guess the attorney general that was investigating Fortune in his state that signed up while running for govenor is in big trouble. Maybe he wanted to blow his chances to win when the voters of his state found out he is a rep with FHTM. I think that he investigated and saw the potential of the income that can be earned and he wanted to take part. Have you heard of the BBB. Ask them what they show on FHTM. Have you heard of Forbes? They did a feature on this company and on the owner Paul Orberson. FHTM is one of the fastest growing companies in the US at this time.
Have you ever heard of the FCC. There are some strict federal regulations regarding the marketing, and operation of a business that is partnered with companies like Dish Network, AT&T, Sprint, Horizon, and most of the other major phone companies.
Excel is gone because they only marketed one service. That was long distance. With the expansion of cell phones, and unlimited long distance service plans this company was doomed to fail. It started going down hill when it was sold and the emphasis changed to the bottom line over paying the reps.
As for the change in payments. Yes, this is the first company I have been with where the bonus programs have almost doubled in what they are paying to the reps since they first started.
People who want to know the truth about what Fortune is...call (646) 222-0243 and listen to this recorded message. If you want more facts call me @ (615) 584-8006

I was a top-earner with this company
I am no longer with this company, (went into Real Estate) but while there I made over 10k a month ave. I met the owner, and all the top people. I was top 30.
1. It is LEGAL - gimme a break. If illegal, would have been shut down.
2. It is truly possible to make alot of money, but you will have to put alot of time in.
3. It is not a get rich quick- it takes a while.
4. If you are looking at getting in- good for you. My advice: make sure you are working with someone who makes money. Especially what they say they do. ASK THEM. Then make them open up their back office and prove it. They can and should do this if they are telling you that they will train you. Don't be surprised if you see that they really do make great money with Fortune- I did.
If the numbers aren't there- find someone else to work with- you have this right.

This is false information
I have three things to say....
#1 - Judged by what you wrote, and how you wrote it, I'm not even sure you're even a U.S. citizen.
#2 - I paid $299 a year ago, and I signed a new rep this week that paid $299, so your dollar figure is a lie.
#3 - I work full time for the USPS and work FHTM part time (5 to 6 hours per week) and it is making my house payment, and a close friend of the family that showed me FHTM is making tens of thousands each month. Based on your comment, I'll put you into the (95%) of people that will always work for someone else.
Good Luck!
So close!!!
I do not beleive fhtm is illegal. there probably are people who make a killing. but unless you have a lot of dumb, rich friends who also have a lot of dumb, rich friends, stay away.
a couple years ago, while i was at work at a home improvement store (rhymes with shmlowes), me and a friend were approached by a co-worker. he had the opportunity of a life time for us. he gave us a phone number to call. red flag #1. the phone call was pre-recorded and was very vague, something along the lines of
'how would you like to make money and be your own boss? how would you like to get paid for the products you alredy use?'
that sort of thing. but it never said what the job entails. red flag #2. i told the coworker who approached me that i was hesitant but interested. all he said was 'its great.' he then took my number down and gave it to the regional manager, or whatever the title was. it escapes me.
late that night i recieved a phone call from this guy. he sounded very excited about the job. he said it is a great way to earn a lot of money, and very quick. i asked him what i would be doing. he said 'its great.' but never really telling me what it was. he basically just repeated the pre-recorded phone call to me. red flag #3.
i was hurting for money though and i was looking for a way to get out of shmlowes. so i went ahead and set up a meeting with my co-worker and the regional manager at a coffee shop (rhymes with shmar-shmucks). this is where things were laid out for me a BIT more clearly.
they both took turns preaching about how wonderful the company was. i was explained that i would get my own website where people can buy things (which is what makes this legal). ranging from colognes to satellite tv. when people buy from my site, i get residuals. if i am using a one of those products already, i pay the bill through my website and i am reimbursed a certain percentage.
i was told once (if i remember correctly) i sign up 12(?) people to join, i am promoted to regional manager (red flag #4) and thats when i start making all the money. my co-worker told me that he had to recruit 2 more people (which he saw in me and my friend) then he could quit from shmlowes and then live in luxury from all the money he was making.
then they laid the $300 start up fee on me. i was kind of sticker shocked, but still interested. the manager asked me if i have friends who want to make money. and if i did, i am all set. he said what i need to do is give them a call and tell them i have a way for them to make money. he told me to not tell them what it is. and if they do ask me, just say 'its great.' and i need to talk with a smile on face. even if it is on the phone. if i smile, i sound excited. then they will get excited. and with that excitement they will come see what i have to say. HUGE RED FLAG.
the guy told me his trick to get me to meet with him. right there i felt like i was dooped. but i didnt want to insult them by telling them no right then and there. so i told them i would find a way to get the money and i will get back with them.
within the next few days, my co-worker started bugging me about the money. i told him i didnt have the $300. he said thats too bad. he said he had 2 people that he was gonna get to sign up and he was going to 'give them' to me. basically saying i was already earning back $200 (since its $100 a head you get to join). but since i didnt have the money, oh well.
after much thought and discussion with my friend, we both decided the job was way too good to be true and we backed out. 2 years later, that guy still works at shmlowes. he has not quit. he is not rolling. he is stuck. he may have made a couple hundred clams off some naive people, but he has nothing to show for it.
and basically, what fhtm is, is for immoral people. who would you go to in order to sign people up fr this business? strangers? no. the first people you would go to are your friends and families. every person you sign up, you get money for. if you can look at your loved ones as a dollar sign, then go ahead and do it.
and also. the regional manager. the guy who was supposively 'rolling.' he was a regular customer a Shmlowes. his vehicle of choice is a white box truck. neither of the doors on the box truck work so he has to get out through the back door. that doesnt seem like someone who has so much money he doesnt know how to spend it.
A little mixed up
First of all, these people can't even spell. We can expect that, just maybe, they might have their facts a little mixed up.
I am a rep with Fortune, I have been with Fortune for three years. This takes a little work, that is all and the fact is, some people aren't willing to do that but, they expect everything to just happen.
This company is very real, you just want to check out the facts, not somebody who is upset because they never made it at anything. This company truely gives you back what you put into it and a lot of the time, even more.
The cost to be a rep in Fortune has been $299 ever since I've been in so, I have no idea what these people are talking about. Fortune has partnered with some of the biggest companies in the world and continues to partner with more. I don't see how it will become bankrupt anytime soon. Paul also vows never to go public with this company, that is what went wrong with Excel and Paul was a victim of that like many other reps in Excel.
I would suggest for these folks to sit down with Paul himself, I have. Sit down with all of your empty accusations and get some facts.
Thank you,
Mark (Cincinnati)
FHTA IS UNETHICAL MARKETING SCHEME
I love when people say.. ' Would ATT, GE, Big Corp company, etc etc be involved in something illegal??' - my response is watch enron.. and yes they would
But thats a completely other issue.
OF course any of these companies would not trie to tie/afflilate with illegalities. However, they also will allow ANYBODY to sell their products. Go to magazine.com (for example)..scroll down Click Afflilates and you too can sell their product.. they don't run background checks or anything, because they don't care! Sell Sell Sell
This is a horrible unethical system.. its like who can you sign up to pay $300 bucks, FHTM will split referal money WITH YOU! and these people are required to sign up for at least one of these 'money saving' products 'we all use' and you get paid on it.
Guess what, every big network.. Corporation you work for example will give you a discount off of a Cell Phone bill.. which a 20% discount off a bill is better than 20% commision.. for the simple fact you don't get taxed on the discount.
Again.. any company that asks YOU for money is ridiculous, you aren't investing in this business..the literature kit is like $10 worth of materials.
Secondly, no good idea gathers the masses (literally anyone with $300 bucks that can expand their network to these select companies).
Feed sheep to the DVDS feed them and you will make money, but in a very dishonest, unethical, and non sustainable manner. Not one person has shown me a check worth bragging about over 'residuals' they literally had .5 of a percent residual off of your referals bills.
Stay away from this company, they have a huge network that tries to recoup their $300 cost by getting 3 more suckers.. its a nasty domino effect.
