BEWARE! STARPOINT RESORT / GEO HOLIDAY AKA FAIRFEILD RESORTS in Las Vegas 2206 Paradise Rd Las Vegas, NV 89104. If you ever visit Las Vegas or live here do not buy this TIMESHARE.

They are the biggest scamers out there. I AM SAD TO SAY I PURCHASED THIS. SCOTT CARRUOLO AND PILOT PARKS are the biggest SCAMERS. Everything they told us was a lie.

A month after we purchased this stupid thing we get a call from Geo Holidays AKA Fairfeild Resorts in Canada to check that we new exactly what we had purchased and that the sales people were honest when thay had sold it to us. As I talked to this woman it became very clear that they had scammed us.

They had told us that we were purchasing 3 week RCI witch is not true we would be lucky to even get 1 week with the points that we purchased.

As I told the woman from Geo Holidays that they had not sold it correctly that we were surposed to have 3 week of RCI she told me that was wrong and ow well I guess you got scammed and hung up on me.

We then contacted the broker who sold it to us Starpoint Resorts to see what was going on and to see if they would cancel the contract and refund our money as they had fraudulently misrepresented the timeshare.

They said they would see if they could do that. Well a month goes by as they give us the run around and of course they final decided not to do anything at all.

As this month goes by we do some research on the web and find out that they have so many complaints and even a Class Action Case just about to be filed against them in Canada.

STARPOINT RESORTS / GEO HOLIDAY AKA FAIRFEILD RESORTS have lied about so many thing to us even about it being Deeded Property and the Escrow that we surposebly went through even though now after the fact we find out that there was never any Escrow agent present while we were doing the contract to point out the deadly buired parts of this contract. They had passed there loan officer off as the Escrow agent the Non- Bias party.

All they did for Escrow was to send the contract out of state to what they call an Escrow company. This Escrow company was not even lisenced to do business in the state of Nevada.

They also told us that they would do in-house finacing but all they did was open up a MBNA credit card and charge it to that.

We have been trying to despute the charge as they FRAUDULENTLY MISREPRESENTED THE TIMESHARE but the MBNA card is an affiliate of RCI so they will not despute the charge. Which is credit card fraud as they are take our fraudulent charge protection policy away.

IF ANYONE ELSE HAS BEEN SCAMMED BY THIS COMPANY AND LIVE IN LAS VEGAS OR NEAR LAS VEGAS AND WOULD LIKE TO JOIN ME AND SOME OTHERS IN PICKETING PLEASE LET ME KNOW.

Stephanie, I to have been ripped off by this company, and would love to picket them. I would also love to sue them for the $14,000 plus I have paid for a timeshare I cannot use. This is a dispicable company and they should be shut down. Let me know if you are still planning to picket. I have to arrange to fly there.

New location

New location of company. Starpoint now/was in Lynnwood,WA. I just purchase a RCI Points Entry Program only to find out today it doesn't do what was represented ply chared 4 times as much as another dealer. I looked at the agreement and it says Starpoint Resort Group Inc, a Nevada Corporation so I assume it is the same company. The 'Escrow Holder' is InterCity Escrow Services. None of the phones answer at the Lynnwood location so I suspect they flew the coup!

I just received your response to my report.

Hi,

My husband and I ended up picketing by are selfs out side there door and it took all of 10 minutes to get all are money back. I found out that they make about 1-2 Million a weekend ripping people off. I highly recommend making some picket signs and get a blow horn and picket IT WORK! They rather give you your money back than loose big dollars. Go on a Saturday when they are really busy. Do not bother calling them they strung us along for 2 months saying they were trying to get approval to give us are money back.

Stop Victimizing Innocent People - They Should Be Stopped

The company has moved to Lynnwood. I wish the guy from Kirkland would have published address and name they are doing business under so people know.. as well as the individual who falsely sold him like Stephanie from Vegas did. He mentioned he believed they flew the coup, but it is easy to provide buying clients with a number that rings to a back line that is never or rarely answered.

They have been swindling people for years; Washington state business records reveal as far back as 1995 - could be longer as the list of names are endless: Advantage, Ultima, SVC-Pacific, Shell Vacations, Vacation Marketing Services, Starpoint, Starpointe Resort Group and as you can see the offices travel into different states - who knows how many - Oregon, Nevada, where else?

Always the same scenario... false misrepresentations and strong arm tactics - when comsumers call to complain they get nothing but run around. Innocent people being victimized.

KIRO 7 busted the Shell Vacations office in Lynnwood. They have lost numerous court battles with the Attorney General. Recent reports are now coming up on boards like these. Do a search on www.thetimesharebeat.com in the Street Talk section using 'SVC-Pacific' and you'll find links to these reports. Comments by people in the industry further substantiate that they are fraudulent and couldn't sell straight if their life depended on it.

Why haven't their liscenses been revoked? Why hasn't something substantial been done to stop these criminals from victimizing innocent people and stealing their money (recording 2.4 million in just one month!!!)? I hope some more people come forward and post stories on the hardships that have been caused due to the financial burdens after being ripped off. More importantly, that these people are stopped.

Please Get Your Facts Straight.

Hi Stephanie. Im sorry you got ripped off. That would make me extremely angry and frustrated. I have worked in timeshare sales for 8 years (my entire post college-adult life), and unfortunately, like anywhere else in the world, there are some bad apples. I dont work for Starpoint or Star Point and never have. My company is reputable, honest, and full of the most wonderful people I have ever met. We are a multi-billion dollar-new york stock exchange company and every year are ranked as one of the top companies in America to work for. We have over 800,000 happy owner (OWNERS-NONE of the STUFF you went through) I could type forever about this. If you havent noticed Im proud of my company and what I do. My frustration lies in the fact that I work for Wyndham Vacation Resorts, formally Fairfield Resorts, headlined in your irresponsible 'Ripoff Report' I dont know how or where AKA Fairfield Resorts came from, but its way off base. We have never been or have been affiliated with Star point Resorts. For you to have thrown that name on a headline (either knowingly or not that you had bad info) without getting your facts straight first is incredibly irresponsible. You have literally taken money from the hands of good and very hard working people. You have deprived children and families of peace of mind. I would bet you've taken money out of my pocket through this article since you posted it in 2005.

Again, Im sorry you got ripped off and I love that you are calling the company on the carpet. Companies like that give the entire industry a bad reputation which it doesnt come close to deserving. I BEG you to please remove FAIRFIELD RESORTS from your headline. Have at it w Starpoint, but let us be, please.

Inside information

Having worked in the timeshare industry for almost 15 years, I am shocked on what companys can get away with. After getting divorced with 3 kids, finding myself in a financial crisis I found this industry. After really learning about the industry I found myself trapped, due to no college education. Also no way to make as much money, but I refuse to lie to clients. Most companys hire as i/c instead of employees, although workers are treated as employees. I worked for geo-holidays for about 1 month, but resigned due to unbelievable training practices. Mike Muldoon I was told is the owner, and I worked at the Jockey Club. We were told to make up numbers during training about the renovation of the jockey club, since no one seemed to know the actual amount. This way we can be on the same page and it would seem like we were being honest. This is only one example. We were also told to be as vague as possible. They never asked for an application, address, or transfered my license. I took this job because of a friend who was already working at that location. Now I am trying to contact the company about my commissions, with no luck. I am told only Mike Muldoon or Dave Russ can authorize any information about my commissions. I can't get a number or a call back. I previously worked for tahiti village, which was bought by goldman sacks, and dropped commision by about 30 percent. There is a class action suit being brought by i/c because we are really employees.

GeoHolidays is a Fairfield Affiliate Resort

In response to Wyndham employee, Mikyvegas. The reason Stephanie wrote 'AKA Fairfield' in the title is that at the time, GeoHolidays was a Fairfield Affiliate company. When you bought a GeoHolidays club membership, you were given a Fairshare Plus member number and account and your ownership was given in regular FairShare Plus points. I own a couple of GeoHolidays contracts and the points go straight into my FairShare plus account. Wyndham/Fairfield has an ethical responsibility to ensure their affiliates (who are selling the same points you are) are representing their product honestly.

I won't even get into discussion at this point with your comment about 800,000 happy owners. I am actively involved with hundreds of Wyndham owners and can say we are a very unhappy bunch with the corporate greed and dishonesty that runs rampant through Wyndham. You can search for my posts about this among other Ripoff Reports.

I wish you luck with your continued employment in a company that has recently laid off hundreds of employees last month.

Problem Corrected

I had an opportunity to look into these charges as I am employed with GeoHoliday. It is true that a salesperson lied to this nice couple during the sales process. The sales agent was terminated and a full refund was awarded by the developer. Each sale does go thru an escrow process,(just because you do not see the officer does not mean it does not occur) as required by the State of Nevada. I have always found that most new members are confused to a point and many get their questions answered by a great members services division. You may recall in the original letter that it was the company that told her there were mistakes in the presentation. That seems like a good company to me as most would never admit their mistakes. It takes 8 weeks to reverse escrow and refund a member that has closed escrow. Since all their money was returned they should be fair and resubmit a letter stating so. With over 52,000 members worldwide a few problems are bound to arise, I am proud to work for a company that values it's members so highly.

Thank You
