I ordered one set of Manay Free Software CD as they advertised in Google. In the order page, they state that my credit card will be charged for only $4.95 for shipping and handling.

But 10 days later, they charged my credit card for additional $39.90.



I contacted the company Here is the response I got:

'When you placed the order, you checked the box that said you reviewed and agreed with the Terms of Use. We put that there to make sure all our customers review, understand and agree to all the terms before proceeding with the order. To reread the information, you can find all the details on our Terms of Use page. Just go to our main website - www.manay.com - and look for the Terms of Use link at the bottom of the page.'

First of all, the box they asked me to check is 'I accept the the term of this offer'. But there is no 'term of this offer' link in their webpage.

Secondly, in the order page, product description page, as well in the invioce and order confirmation mail, they did not have any word about trial or evaluation or service that are actually included in the shipping package. All I know, based on all the information I obtained, is a free product with 4 CDs shipped to me with a shipping fee.

I learned later that they have a different link 'term of use' in their website (www.manay.com/terms_of_use.htm)to alengthy and with very small font, and a short paragraph that you have scroll down to read, saying that if you do not return the CD they shipped to you within 10 days, you agree to accept their club service and pay $39.95, and they will continue to charge you $39.95 for each CD they ship to you every month.

I consider this an act of theft.
