Ripoff Report Verified Safe

So, most anyone with a degree in marketing, business or advertising would be thrilled to find a business willing to hire 'entry-level college grads' for advertising, marketing and public relations right? These companies open up every few months with new names that are impossible to research on the internet due to lack of info.

Basically there are several affiliates under GRANTON MARKETING based out of Canada that operate in the United States. What they chalk up to a career in advertising is nothing more than door-to-door sales, Monday thru Saturday, 12 hours a day! While the actual sales and job are good for those that don't mind starting out in door-to-door sales, the recruiting tactics are highly deceptive and unethical.

The prospective applicant is made to think that this is a position that works business to business, negotiating with clients and traditional marketing business. You are asked to have a full day cleared to 'observe a sales executive' during a normal business day. The sales exec informs you that he or she can't bring you back to your car until the end of the day. It is not until you are stuck in a residential area, miles away from you means of transportation do they tell you that it is 'door-to-door sales!'

At this point, you are at the mercy of the 'sales executive' that has 8+ hours to brainwash you into thinking you will be a millionaire within a year of your 'door-to-door' sales career. All you have to do is dupe more people into working under you and giving you a share of your sales. In other words, it's a PYRAMID BUSINESS! Nothing illegal or even wrong with that. When it works well, it's good.

But I believe the company has an obligation to tell you exactly what DIRECT MARKETING is! If you don't like door-to-door sales, stay away from any company with PROMOTIONS in the name or uses DIRECT ADVERTISING, stay clear. If you are reading this too late and have already been duped, don't feel bad. It's happening all over the country to promising college grads desperate for a real career. DK Promotions and CAP Marketing are just some of the new kids on the block. There are hundreds more that operate under GRANTON MARKETING that you should beware of.

But, if you like door-to-door sales and can believe in the pyramid system, by all means, go for it. Just try to get the facts before you make a risky commitment, because they will keep you in the dark until they have you at their mercy.

Here's complete information on this half-assed con. Learn to spot it before you end up out on some lonely street corner in the middle of nowhere.

Search google for this exact phrase. Use quotation marks before and after.

“An detailed explanation of Ds-max, Cydcor and Granton Marketing"

I know the word “An" is wrong. A dsmax idiot made the title. That shows you the mentality of the people who work there.

Anyway, go to the top google site and click on each item in the table of contents.

After that, you'll understand how the con works and you should be able to spot them right over the telephone.

By the way, if you do ever find yourself about to be dropped off on a street corner, tell the max loser this.

“Turn around and take me back. If you don't do that, the minute you stop the car I'm going to break your nose. And, while you're bleeding all over the only shirt you own, I'm take your head and hit it so hard against the window glass that it will shatter from the impact. And you know what MF, I'll love every second of it too. Because, you deserve it for dragging me out here. I'll tell you this, you won't do this to the next person that comes along looking for a job. So, go ahead, pull the car over!"

Not What We're Looking For

I work for Cap Marketing/DK Promotions. It is NOT a scam. In my short time here I have personally seen 3 people promoted to own their own companies and they have been extremely successful. I, too, am on track to run my own business. Just because entry level isn't glamorous, doesn't mean it is a scam. To tell people 'door to door' will not allow them to see the genuine opportunity this company provides people all over the world. We aren't looking for people to work door to door, or business to business.

We are looking for positive, self motivated leaders. We have over 90 offices in the USA, as well as divisions in Japan, South Africa, and Europe. If it is such a scam, how are we all doing so well? :) It is an upbeat, fun atmosphere that requires harder work than keg stands or sitting at a desk all day. But it has a higher payout. Sure the days are long, but we're willing to put in longer hours for a year, year and a half... rather than pining away on some corporate ladder kissing someone's butt to get ahead for 30 years!

If you read these comments by people who were NOT accepted into our program and are unwilling to give the company a look, then you are not what we are looking for either. We want individuals, not people who simply follow the example of other, unsuccessful people. We're an open minded group who likes to have fun... we aren't bothered by the opinions of 'others'... and hope you aren't either! Best of luck in all of your job searches!!

everyone gets accpeted into 'the business'

These companies are looking for anyone desperate enough to even listen to their claims.

One gentleman on this site said he bad mouthed the person he was shadowing the entire time out in the field. However, at the end of the day the leader still wanted him to work. How can that be? They just need more people so that they can make money off of them.
