This is basically about STATE STREET SHOES, but at the same time;
I think that Payless Shoe Stores ought to know better than sell a badly designed shoe like this.

They are Black STS Manager Shoes.

These shoes cost about $25.

I bought some because they looked great new but these shoes wore out in about 5 weeks. They are cracking where the shoe bends as you walk. They are ripping in three directions on the right shoe. It looks like someone took a box knife and cut them up! The left one has two rips in it and will probably get worse. The reason is that they are made of cheap vinyl coated cloth made to look like leather.

At this point, I am in desperate need of some interview shoes
and these would have been ok, provided you didn't wear them
much or walk in them much.

I'm not trying to put down the particular store that I bought them in. I went in and told them about it and they said to buy some leather shoes instead.

This report is basically a warning not to buy these particular shoes. They are a Rip Off because they probably won't last more than 5 weeks if you walk much.

I bought the shoes because they looked like a kind of work shoe that I could use working for Advanced Warning in San Jose. That job only required standing around all day flagging traffic, so I did not wear out the shoes on that job.

I have done quite a bit of walking but I ride the bus as well when I can. These shoes are just plain a very bad idea. They should not sell shoes like this. They should make it more clear that they are using bad materials in the shoes.

I have also had a lot of pain from this because these shoes don't BREATHE. They vinyl does not breathe. This has caused me severe pain for at least two weeks. This can be helped a bit by wearing NO SOCKS at all or by buying THIN SOCKS but I've never had my feet get like this before. It is because the sweat cannot evaporate out of the shoes. I am homeless and can't afford to have this happen to me. I don't want to keep buying these crummy shoes every month if they are just going to wear out like this. BAD SHOE DESIGN STATE STREET. I'm not a happy camper.

It's taught me a lesson about cheap shoes at least. I hope someone else reads this and does not buy this particular shoe. Very bad product.
