Ripoff Report Verified Safe

I am writing to alert my fellow consumers about purchasing the Registry Cleaner XP (www.registrycleanerxp.com).

For the past four years since I got my current computer as well as Internet, I have been receiving error messages via Internet Explorer that my computer has been corrupted by illicit entries such as viruses, spyware and adware. That if I should purchase the items advertised to cure these maladies.

Recently, I received an error message suggesting that my computer had been corrupted and that I had to go to www.registrycleanerxp.com to have the situation remedied. I installed the program. After scanning my computer, the program had 21 errors in the application paths, 14 errors in the com objects, 6 errors in the help files, and 2 errors in the uninstall entries.

So the conclusion was that of the 17,405 entries scanned, the total of errors found were 43. I tried to purchase the item via their website for $39.95 and $9.95 for a two-year update. However, for some unknown reason, my credit card kept being rejected on the premise that it was not valid, despite having entered my credit card details exactly as they appeared on my card.

After trying several times, but in vain this product via my home computer Internet, I decided to purchase the item via one of the computers at my former university. So I let the registry cleaner to scan that computer before I could purchase the item. Guess what-the scan yielded exactly the same results that had been obtained on my personal PCs i.e. application paths-21 errors, com objects-14 errors, help files-6 errors, uninstall entries-2 errors, again a total of 43 errors with the same 17,405 entries scanned.

This was astonishing i.e. two different computers yielding the same results-this was amazing, since it would suggest that two or more computers always would yield the same infections which I do not believe. In fact, I would have expected the computer I used at the university to have more infections and thus more errors, because of the amount of people that use these computers which oftentimes render them vulnerable to more infections than individual home PCs.

This led me to conclusion that Registry Cleaner XP was running a scam. It was trying to pretend that it was running a valid scan on the computers of its customers as well as possible customers, whereas, actually it had already fixed this bogus scan. This reminds me of the tale of the emperor that had no clothes, when his subjects pretended to play a trick on him by pretending that they were making clothes for him, whereas he had none on him.

The same applies to Registry Cleaner XP, which has fooled its customers or potential customers with this bogus scan. I do not believe that any two computers can have exactly the same infections. This is a criminal rip-off that should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. In hindsight, I am glad that my credit card failed to be charged for this fraud.
