Of course I fell for it!!

A 20 year old, skinny red headed kid with what sounded like a Kiwi accent pulled up in front of my apartment building last night, and asked if i knew anyone looking for a sound system. 'Don't worry' he says, 'I know what your thinking, but I swear this is legit' ... HA!! famous last words...

He proceeds to tell me that he works for a electronics installation company, and it looked like the guys at the loading dock loaded an extra Kirsch K3 sound system into his van. He was in a hurry to get to his next job, and needed to unload the product quickly, to make some extra $$

To help sweeten the deal, he pulls out some HDTV electronics magazine, that has the same sound system in it advertised for $2,600 (or some stupid amount)tells me if I can give him $400, then the system could be mine. Of course i'm thinking 'what a sweet deal' although I had never heard of Kirsch, they must be a decent product if it retails for over $2000. HE EVEN DROVE ME TO THE BANK TO GET THE MONEY!!! ....I know, I am a moron!!

As soon as I got home, I checked it out online and of course found the scam....so at least im not the only sucker.

HOWEVER...thanks to information provided by a report on this site, I was able to contact Andrew Radford, who apparently distributes Kirsch sound systems. He was more than professional, asked me to come to the showroom and listen to the speakers first hand. I must say they didn't sound too bad, BUT not worth $2,600 or even the $400 that I paid. He left it up to me whether I wanted to keep the speakers or get a full refund, to which I took the refund...no questions asked.

He claims that he just distributes the product, and has no control in the means by which others sell it....but had no problems just handing $400 to me.
