purchase, New YorkIt Is of no surprise that Foxtons closed down it's failing purchase office. While Foxtons Had the right ideas and all the money in the world to make the overpriced tradional realtors obsolete, they failed when hiring people!!! Their model was to hire 20 somethings from all walks of life[including ex cons + strippers] And mold them through manipulation, Lies, Trickery[another name for sales] and run these kids into the ground. How anyone could trust there biggest investment to uneducated 20 somethings is beyond me. All you rich idiots cried to save money to only lose in the end!!!! I only ask when jersey will shut down! My brother in-law listed his home with a Foxtons agent[ Evan Russel] In jersey and was horrified by this disatorous mistake! They con you into listing with them then you never see them again!!!!! The unprofessional manner in which these college dropouts conduct buisness is a joke. Good Riddance Foxtons don't come back

I've used the same agent for the last 20 years to sell a couple of houses and she has sold several of my folk's houses too. Standard commission on the sales was 6%. I made the comment to her last year about how several of my customer, who happened to be strippers, had gone ino the real estate business. They were all excited about their new careers and even brought me their business cards. Asking if I'd send them customers. She just shook her head. What with these companies cutting down their commissions to next to nothing, selling houses at 1.5 to 3%, that's about all they can get. Next step is to pay them a flat $500 fee for ever house they sell. Sad, sad, sad. You get what you pay for, but at least you'll have something decent to look at. Who are you gonna' go with? Someone who has been selling houses for 30 years or the ex-stripper who'll do it at half the price. Was told there like 11,000 real estate agents here in town.
