GE Money Bank is in the habit of many fraudulent practices and needs to be stopped. They purposely 'lose' payments, in order to start a snowball effect of fees that has no end.

They lie on the phone, they give the run-around, they called my house, making harassing calls several times a day for months.

They started to drag me into court to pay these outrageous fees, until the attorney dropped the case like a hot potatoe, because I have evidence from my bank that payments were made.

They ripped off my bank for several payments and my bank was nice enough to eat that cost and not charge it to me. Because it looks like the payments have been accepted by GE Money Bank, but they are not credited to my credit account.

If there is a class action law suit out there, I will join. If there is a goverment agency out there to help, I will swear on a stack of bibles and in front of a Senate committee if I had to.

These people are defrauding people all over the country on a daily basis because it is their policy to do so. And they are not even an American Company.

Even though you would think that GE is American, GE Money Bank is only a subsidiary and is a foreign one, at that. GE hasn't a clue what GEMB is doing, I am sure. Just like the companies that give people credit for their products have no idea that the finance company is crooked.

Someone needs to come up with a list of clients that GEMB gets finance customers from and tell them all just what they are doing to people.

This company, GE Money Bank, needs to be charged mega fees for the things that they do and the media needs to be notified of their fraudulent practices.

One person at the company helped us a lot

I would like to thank the person at GE Money who finally helped us. She removed the fees on this and another account that we held at GE Money. She went above and beyond the call of duty and helped us. I don't know if I should name her, because then everyone will be calling her. She already works very hard to put out fires that were started before she got there. She has helped us a lot.

GE Money Bank Crooks Lie about Recieving Payments

I am sad to say I had the same thing happen to me, with GE Money Bank. I would send them a money order payment, and they would hit me with a late fee and over limit fee saying they never received the payment.

I would call the money order company and get the front and back of the money order as proof of payment showing they cashed the check and GE Money Bank will still deny receiving the payment. I thought I was alone, until I ran across your review of your situation.

I even went to the BBB and filed a complaint against them and sending the BBB a copy of the front and back of the money order proving they received the payments, still they denied it.

What I did to stop the problem was I went online at www.geonlineservice.com and set up online payments each month for the minimum and I use the paper statement I received in the mail to send in extra money on the account. This way I am guaranteed that they received the minimum due by the due date, and they can NOT deny receiving the payment because their own system states they received the payment.

I would suggest for the future try making the payment online and print out each page you go to, so you can have proof of payment on time.

Facts Please

GE Money bank is a subsidiary of General Electric, it isn't a foreign company. It was started back about 60-70 years ago to finance GE appliances. It is one of the six businesses under the GE umbrella. It is no small time foreign company. It operates in 55 countries and has over 130 million customers. GE Money is based in Stamford, CT. David Nissen is the president of this division and reports directly to Jeff Immelt.

Now...On to your issue...If they were calling, why didn't you answer the phone and tell them that you sent payments in and also provide copies of the cancelled checks? Did you not send them in with the remittance slip or fail to include the account number of the account you were paying. It wasn't just a couple payments either....It takes seven months of delinquency in order to charge your account off and send it to a third party to pursue, all the time collections would be calling you. I believe there are pieces missing in your report above.

Holding money hostage

I too have a GE Money account. I made a payment on 9/26/07 over the phone and the money was removed on 10/1/07. Needless to say they have not posted the money to my account and it is 11/28/07. I have sent a copy of the cleared check multiple times. I filed complaints with the BBB and the Attorney General. I now send a copy of the cleared check, plus the confirmations from the previous faxes, multiple times a day.

I encourage everyone who has a similiar problem with GE Money to file complaints with their Attorney General. Perhaps if the AG gets enough complaints something can be done!

Thank You
