Ripoff Report Verified Safe

I received a flyer in my mailbox and called the very day that I received it. The guy that answered the phone said 'thanked me for calling the Satellite Center, home of better TV for all' the same greeting that 'DISHNETWORK' says ironically ~I proceeded to tell him how I received this flyer and read him word for word the offer, he told me that the flyer has expired but he had a better offer for me adn he began to tell me the offer. His offer was quite different, it was the same price nor the same deal as my flyer stated, he told me that the post office had made a mistake and mailed these flyers out too late and that he couldn't offer me that offer but waht he could offer me was this......and he then started telling me the cost of a completely different package. The package was more than triple the cost of his original offer and he told me that he would only charge my credit card ($49.99 for the activation fee of my service) and later charge a fee that was called (a one time processing fee of $19.00).

He told me that all he needed to do was run a credit check to get started and that he not charge anything else today. He took all my personal and confidential information that he promised was enterd into a secured system and he came back saying that they would be out there on Friday to install the dish between the hours of (12-5). He then told me that I would get this free and that free and that I would get a package in the mail from him for a warranty of the equipment in 3 to 5 days that he referred to as the HOME'S CLUB insurance PLAN. He said I would be able to choose 3 free DVD'S titles and that he would mail them out today, he set me up with a password. Now keep in mind I never asked or gave any final approval for any of this to be done ! He then put me on hold for a very long time and cam back and read me a very long acct # and gave me a completely different phone number (which later I found out was for the real DISH NETWORK customer service department) then he transferred me to another department where they tried to sell me phone and internet service.

What a scam ~The customer service dept at the ELEPHANT GROUP will not allow you to cancel or even help you wuth this matter !I called my credit card company and asked why am I being billed for this, this and this and why am I over my credit when I tried to go to the store and buy ! They told me that several charges were on my card from this company and explained how to go about getting it disputed and stopped !

It's been several months now and still trying to get the charges reversed and I would like for everyone know that 'The Elephant Group' is not telling nor selling anything......but they are scamming all that they can !
Their salespeople are trained this way apparently and their getting away with it so please be wise.....don't give out your social security number or your credit card number or for that matter any information to them !
