My company has a service agreement with another vendor all of our copier toners. I would like to go on record that Interstate Imaging is a fraudulent company that processes false invoices for copy toners to companies and collects their monies. Interstate Imaging is not a reputable company there is no way to research this company on the Internet via a website. Additionally, this company does not appear on Yellowpages and cannot confirm its reputation.

My company has been receiving invoices from Interstate (the last invoice I tracked down was from December 2005) for copy toners. The bills total received is total nearly $30,000. The unfortunate part is that my company has paid out almost all of it $25,000 to Interstate before this was flagged (I just took over invoicing for my department here at my company).

I flagged Interstate because of two suspicious invoices, totally $5,554.64, because they were dated for October 2006 well over one year ago. When I inquired about the invoice in two separate phone calls with Interstate, the representative (who would not give me her name when I asked for it again) said the invoice was from so long ago, that its no longer in her system.

Both times she referred me to a Ron in the Accounting department. Neither she nor Ron were able to provide copies of any agreements or contracts that my firm has with Interstate. They only provided suspicious, broad and general answers. At times, they came off as defensive and accused me of making misguided judgments on their company.

If you examine the invoices, theyre fake in all respects. More than that, the costs are astronomical for toner and even moreso for shipping and handling. For example, one bill for $3,400 charged my company five (5) toners at $637 each. and then $286.65 for shipping and handling!!!!

Im at a loss that this activity was not flagged down earlier and that, for the past two years, my company has paid out this fake company nearly $30,000. Ive taken the initial steps to do what I can to report Interstate Imaging first by filing official complaints to the California Dept of Justice/Office of the Attorney General for consumer fraud (http://ag.ca.gov/contact/complaint_form.php?cmplt=CL) and then to the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) Bureau of Consumer Protection (https://rn.ftc.gov/pls/dod/wsolcq$.startup?Z_ORG_CODE=PU01) for further investigation.

Finally, in doing research, these scams are not new. Refer to the report of Interstate Distribution here: http://ripoffreport.com/reports/0/093/RipOff0093252.htm
