Rip-off Report Corporate Advocacy Business Remediation & Customer Satisfaction Program - a program that benefits the consumer, which assures their complete satisfaction and confidence when doing business with a member business.
'As a matter of policy, when Rip-off Report is retained by a company to mount an independent investigation and to publish our findings, we examine the truthfulness of the consumer complaints using every bit of information at our disposal. Our process is systematic and highly effective because: 1) It takes place at the consumer level and 2) the company or individual in our Corporate Advocacy Program must commit to 'doing whatever it takes to make things right with their customers.' By working closely with the company or individual, Rip-off Report can track the footprints left behind when their promised level of customer service is actually followed by the solid ground of real behavior. Only then do we publish our findings.'.

Vendstar / MultiVend approached Rip-Off Report last month with the express purpose of resolving consumer concerns posted on Rip-off Report. After a recent mailing to everyone who filed a Rip-off Report, it became apparent that Vendstar is sincere in their commitment to remedy any and all customer concerns. Company executives stated to Rip-off Report that Vendstar has now improved its product quality assurance program and tests 100% of its equipment prior to shipping. Additionally, Vendstar/MultiVend has engaged UPS as their exclusive shipping department (unless otherwise instructed by the customer) in attempts to eliminate complaints about breakage and damage to its products. These changes were implemented as a direct result of feedback they received from Rip-off Report.
VENDSTAR / MULTIVEND CONTINUES TO CLARIFY WHO THEY ARE AND WHAT THEY CAN DO FOR CLIENTS
One of the surprises that came from the Rip-off Report investigation was the complaints that had little to do with Vendstar / MultiVend. We recognize that some of Vendstar's customers use third-party companies to place their machines and every placement company has different standards of service. Vendstar has focused on making sure the customers understand the differences among the placement companies they choose and how this may affect their business. The company maintains that all placement companies are independent and encourages customers' commitment to developing the vending machine business on their own. In fact, Rip-off Report learned from a company executive that they have discouraged consumer relationships with companies that were not proven to be successful with prior customers. In today's business world how often do you find a company willing to do the right thing in the name of ethics? Vendstar has and says they will again if necessary. Vendstar is careful to make sure their customers are comfortable moving forward whether they have chosen to locate the machines themselves or have selected a placement company to assist in building their business.

Company executives also stated that over that last 17 years they have focused their efforts to make sure their Technical Support and Customer Service departments put forward their best efforts to advise and assist their customers in any way they possibly can.
Because of our investigation and the sincere efforts put forth by Vendstar, Rip-off Report is proud to give Vendstar a positive rating. All in all, the company has implemented strategic changes to its Customer Service and Technical Support Departments, and reached its goal of achieving total customer satisfaction through excellent service. This was made possible by a totally honest approach to meeting their customers needs..

VENDSTAR CONTINUES TO GO ABOVE AND BEYOND BY IMPLEMENTING QUALITY ASSURANCE PROGRAM.
Vendstar has also initiated a proactive Technical Support Department. Customers are called the day that their machines are being delivered, and are introduced to a Technical Support person who will be addressing all their needs. This gives their clients a separate contact person who is knowledgeable of the product, and can assist the customer with any questions or concerns. The Client also has the opportunity to give vital feedback on the product which can be used by Vendstar to facilitate improvements. Thanks to the feedback from clients, Vendstar has made changes to their product which have made it the highest quality, most efficient machine on the market today
VENDSTAR GIVING THEIR CUSTOMERS THE BENEFIT OF THE DOUBT...
Vendstar's CEO said: 'Our customers use the equipment they purchase from us to go into their own business'. In the business that Vendstar is in, they understand the pitfalls associated with starting a business and they have built a team around reducing those pitfalls based on the company's seventeen years of customer feedback and experience.
They also know that the best laid plans are guaranteed to fail if you do not use them. Vendstar cannot be held responsible for a client's failure to take their advice or continue to pursue their entrepreneurial drive. This is no fault of the company. As an example, if you have a coach teach you the fine arts of a golf swing and you show up on game day with a baseball bat, can you blame the coach? Vendstar realizes that there can occasionally be a breakdown in communication between the client and the support system they have set up for their clients, for any number of reasons. Vendstar is managing issues when they arise and proactively looking for ways to decrease possible misunderstandings in the future. Vendstar is proactively instituting higher standards for sales executives, adding extensive quality assurance measures, implementing workforce management, and continuing their commitment to ongoing technical and customer support.
Vendstar has found that the main reason they have disgruntled clients is because of the failure of the clients businesses to produce profits. While Vendstar has made it explicitly clear they do not guarantee nor represent minimum or maximum earnings, once the client perceives their business venture as a failure, their first impulse is to blame their failure on their relationship with Vendstar.. The only problem is the client is still responsible for managing their business and making it successful, not Vendstar. Vendstar's support professionals are there to support and guide them, but the ultimate responsibility for success remains squarely on the customer and their effort to make the business work.
In spite of these situations, which show that even with the best equipment and the best training, some people (who do not put out the required effort) will fail, I believe Vendstar is a company that is ready to serve those who need additional assistance and is willing to do everything in their power to try to make things right if the customer needs encouragement or extra support if the customer's original efforts seem to have fallen apart.
FROM THE EDitor's PERSONAL EXPERIENCE
Rip-off Report EDitor, that's me, ED Magedson, was in the vending business back in the 80's. The vending business can be a lucrative business pretty much no matter where you live. But, this business requires your willingness to find the right locations whether you chose/choose to use a locating service or better yet, place machines on your own. This business is a lot of trial and error. The machines have to also be placed strategically in the right position in whatever store you may have it in. Again, trial and error. My suggestion, get out there and shake hands with people you know. Get friends and relatives that know specific store owners to help get machines placed for you. Once you get the right locations, you are on your way to make money.. Join local clubs like the Chamber of Commerce so you get to know other business people, they are more than likely to begin your network and let you put machines in their business. Strictly this EDitor's opinion on this business.

RESULTS OF MAILING TO ALL THOSE WHO FILED A RIP-OFF REPORT
As a part of the Corporate Advocacy Program - Rip-off Report sent an email to every client who filed a Report on Vendstar and I would now like to share the results with you.
The majority of clients stated that they appreciated our efforts and related how they had already been taken care of in a satisfactory manner. As usual, most customers asked if they could remove the Report they filed and we explained that unfortunately, it was not possible. It is Rip-off Report's philosophy that it is much more beneficial for the consumer to see how a company like Vendstar takes care of their mistakes. No company is with out its share of problems, however, there are many companies who continually sweep those problems under the rug and never achieve the growth that other companies such as Vendstar enjoys.
Rip-off Report also found a number of Reports were filed by 2 people, filing mutable Reports posing as different people.
Rip-off Report feels Vendstar has learned from all those who have complained with legitimate complaints ... and they even seemed to be thankful for those who have brought problems to their attention. One executive stated, 'We can only improve our business based on feedback from our clients, sometimes that feedback may be hard to hear but it is the only way we can become better.'

Keep in mind, Vendstar has worked with approximately 35 thousand clients with only 34 Rip-off Reports to show for it since 2004. What really is amazing that despite Rip-off report appearing at the top on most search engines right below Vendstar, their complaint ratio is less then one hundredth of one percent. Rip-off report feels that this is significantly below the industry standard for the clientele that they work with. From our perspective, it is quite unusual for a company who has had so few complaints request on their own to be a part of the Corporate Advocacy Business Remediation and Customer Satisfaction Program. Vendstar is showing leadership for other companies to follow that care about their clients.
