My 87 year old mother has been ripped off by Cavalier and now sits alone with no phone service for emergencies or friends. Cavalier called offering her a month's free service to try out Cavalier (and how wonderful their services were!!!!! NOT!!!!!)
She was not happy with them, asked to go back to Verizon. They said, sure, you can go back to Verizon. No problem. Yea, Right!!
3 months later and $150. bill later they cut off her service without so much as a phone call to see what's wrong!!!!
She contacts Verizon to get reconnected. Verizon explains that they cannot reconnect her by law because Cavalier will not release her telephone number!!!!
WHAT IS GOING ON!!!!
This 87 year old woman is being held prisoner by Cavalier Telephone Company of Richmond, Virginia. She no longer has 911 access and lives alone. What in the world is our country coming to when such businesses are allowed to exist and intimidate our seniors!!!! There will be a very memorable LAW SUIT coming to Cavalier unless they release her number and lets her reconnect to Verizon --- especially if anything happens to her before this happens!!!
She is already under great stress just living like this ---for 38 years with the same telephone number and now no service because of a RIP OFF company like Cavalier!!!!
