Santa monica, CaliforniaI am aware of several incidents in which Tamar Gellar has reportedly ordered her reports, who have tortured dogs by way of drowning them, to get them to comply to her 'lock down system'. There is an inside saying at her training facility that they train the bad dogs like they do bad Arabs under Massad control, as Tamar is a former Israeli intelligence officer. It is really shameful.

No drowning at Tamar's center.
As a former employee at Tamar's Loved Dog center, I feel an obligation to dispute the allegations of 'drowning' by her employees.
Unless they've done major renovations within the past year or so (which I doubt), there is no proper place to even attempt to drown a dog. At the time of my employment, there were no tubs, sinks, or pools deep enough to submerge a dog. The area in which the dogs were bathed was a tub approximately 3 inches deep, with no plug to retain water. Unless someone was dunking their heads into the toilet, there was no way anyone was drowning the dogs like - to quote Tc - 'Arabs'. (This statement alone makes me suspicious of the author.)
In the interest of fairness (and to prove that I'm not some Tamar fan just trying to save her reputation), I must admit that my time working for Tamar was less that memorable. The facility isn't exactly the dog paradise she may try to make it out to be. There were certainly some issues that needed to be addressed, but animal abuse was NOT one of them.
I worked for the company for nearly two years, and in that time many employees came and went. Given the pay rate and the nature of the job, most of the employees weren't highly educated or devout animal lovers. They were simply in need of work, or lived in a household where their income made no difference. It was just a job. Given that, not ONCE during my employment was a dog injured at the hands of an employee.
Yes, there were MANY injured dogs while I worked there. Almost every one of these injuries came from fights between dogs. When you have a large room full of large dogs roaming freely, you're going to have disputes.
The rest were dogs somehow injuring themselves (slipping on steps, chewing into metal of some kind, jumping from something too high for their weight, etc.).
I have no obligation to Tamar. I worked at her facility long enough to learn the difference between training some movie star's puppy puggle and keeping the peace in a room full of 80 full-grown large breeds.
I'm not supporting her training methods, because I honestly don't believe they work. But as a dog lover and former employee of the business in question (which makes me one of the accused 'abusers'), I feel that I must defend myself and the company.

This is complete B.S
I used to work for Tamar. There is NO WAY she would EVER hurt a dog. She won't even use a choke chain or prong collar. You people with these claims must have some sort of vendetta against her and it is sick. You are disturbed individuals and you should be ashamed of yourselves. There is always someone out there who wants to bring someone down just because they've become successful. Find something better to do with your time.

A few more points
These false allegations have made me so angry that this is my third post.
What world are you living in that you would write a report alleging that someone 'tortured dogs by way of drowning' with no proof? Don't you think that if this really occurred EVERY channel in the country would be covering this? It matters not that there may be a 'celebrity' dog trainer involved. This is one of the most disturbing things I have ever heard. What kind of thoughts go through your head 'Tc' that would make you write this twisted tale?
Next I must address the 'inside saying' at her facility. I worked there for 2 years and there is no inside saying. That is such B.S it makes me sick. You sound like a prejudiced jerk.
I must also address David the cocker spaniel owner. You are a liar. This never happened. I don't know who you think you are. I worked there when you filed this false report and there were no cocker spaniels in training at the facility or with Tamar privately. Read Tamar's book you idiot. She is clearly against any type of correction that would bring on such injuries. This is not just something she writes to sell books. It is her core belief and practice as a trainer.
Just to be clear, I do feel highly offended at these accusations as well as by the reply of a consumer defending Tamar. By stating that Tamar said she has some former employees in the glendale area, it sounds as if Tamar or you are accusing others of being the ones who allegedly hurt the dog. That is just as disgusting as these bogus reports. You should all be ashamed.
