Cleveland, OhioThis is a copy of the dispute I filed with my credit card company:
On 04/18/2007 I ordered a FREE credit report that has since cost me $12.95 a month. On 02/22/2008 I called CIC Triple Advantage at 877-481-6825 to dispute the charges and request a credit to my account for every month of dishonest billing back to April 2007. I spoke with Clark (Badge: 19711), who advised me to fax the company at 949-567-3858 to request the credits to my account.
My account has not been credited the $142.45 total or any amount yet, so I am disputing the charges through Capitalone Visa and also filing a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission. I believe this type of dishonest dealing is called CRAMMING or slamming or some such label for a sophisticated form of STEALING.
