I just received an unsolicited colorful mailing from this con man Dana Bashor and his ever-name changing company, this time around, he's calling it Financial Freedom (Google his name, please). His mailings are so persuasive and enticing by indicating you were chosen by him personally to be an owner of your own company because you are a leader and deserve 'financial freedom.' While some who really know me will debate that I am a leader, I actually started to like this guy. That is, until I realized when something sounds too good to be true, it usually is. Not only that, but it will take a heck of a lot more than well written propaganda to fool this native New Yorker.

Mr. Bashor also sent along a draft of my new business card, prominently displaying the term 'Owner' right next to my name. Wow, what would I have to do in order to achieve my well deserved financial freedom? It turns out he only wants to invite me to a seminar at a local hotel to impress me with his business savvy methods of generating huge ancillary income through my purchase of over-priced vending machines from his company. I have nothing to lose at this point, right?

The only problem is, Mr. D. Bashor has a documented history of fleecing people like you and me with his illegal and costly promises. In 1996 alone, he paid a one million dollar settlement to the FTC for fraudulent misrepresentation. Wow, who the hell in their right mind would pay such a high fine if they were a legitimate businessman, right? This guy is obviously a multi-millionaire, billionaire, perhaps, who can easily afford these occasional bumps in the road. Look up the names of his previous companies, 'Antares' and 'Natural Choice.' You will find a ton of negative data on this unscrupulous con man.

Let us New Yorkers unite to show this criminal he is not wanted here. I am sure there will be many people who show up at the hotel for his Free Manufacturer's Demonstration next week, but, hopefully, they are street savvy enough to know a well documented con man when they see, or listen, to one. A Pennsylvania news channel investigative team went undercover in 2002 to expose his unethical recruiting tactics there. Let's hope that a New York investigative team exposes this crook here too!
