Prepaid services $1200 to Heather Reyes of LA Weight Loss Center located at 1725 N. Town East Blvd, Mesquite, TX. Attended 10 weeks total, (had to take a couple of months off because of critical family illness) then returned. Resumed my program for several weeks and they said 'they were moving to a better facility across the street'... We were told the 621 W Plano Pkwy location in Plano, TX would service us until move was completed (but company name would be: Pure Weight Loss) - Called about visiting there and talked to Katherine - who said my file was left in a pile of files on the floor of the now vacant LA Weight Loss Center in Mesquite or possibly trashed - but she would search for it...

In about 2 weeks Plano called and said they found my file. I asked for immediate refund - Katherine at Pure Weight Loss agreed that my refund totaled $854 and said she faxed my refund info and request to Headquarters in PA immediately - my check was to arrive in about 6 weeks - about January 12, 2008. Soooo - I've waited - it was faxed to PA in December 2007 - it is now March 9, 2008. Not one word! And all locations are CLOSED and counselors fired.

Owner of this company, Vahan Karian, keeps changing the company name and then suddenly leaves people high and dry without refunds or any recourse to get satisfaction, etc. I am filing with the PA Attorney General as a hearing is set to not only freeze the assets/but block Pure Weight Loss from trying to file Chapter 7 Bankruptcy on March 14 in Horsham, PA. Definitely TX should file a major lawsuit or class-action suit to shut all of this man's businesses down and get our refunds immediately. He apparently still is opening up other LA Weight Loss Centers in US (and also has created other names for his company to fool the public i.e. Pure Weight Loss - beware: they are really all just like LA Weight Loss Centers) but as for us who are victims of their ripping us off, and the company leaving town during the night - we are left with no good contact numbers or fax numbers and he has stolen our money big-time!!

There are thousands of us whose money Vahan Karian and his company(s) have stolen. I say MAJOR prison time for owner and all of us get our much deserved refunds.
