Lehigh Valley College, Career Education Corporation owned college, is nothing but a scam to get people to sign up for loans and some are high interest loans, which mine carry a 16% on all three. Admissions reps did use tactics to engage students interest in the college and used charts and graphs that reference graduate success and comparison of other colleges, which those facts were published by the CEC and given to ALL CEC owned schools. The admissions department rushed everyone, including myself into enrolling and persuaded students from attending other colleges.

Financial Aid did the same thing in their department. They have rushed students through the process without discussing interest rates and made you take out loans that you really didn't need without a good explanation. I have all of my records from the college that contain both admissions and financial aid and one paper was unknown to me, which is a Loan Request Form and it's not signed by me agreeing to the terms as to how the school is going to get paid.

Career Services is a joke. I asked for help on job leads and they don't respond to me at all. Once you graduate from LVC, they give you the shaft and they think they are getting away with what they pulled and putting students into debt. The college is closing and they done away with the high interest loans back in 2006, which is almost one year after I graduated.

The degree in Medical Assisting is now worthless and credits, too. No other colleges will accept them, since they are not regionally accredited, which makes everything worse. I've put up with a lot of problems with students to earn the degree and to find out that the education that you have gotten and everything you hoped for and dealt with is now a waste of time and money is heartbreaking.

I contacted the college to lodge a complaint to resolve this matter, but I have not gotten a reply back from the department head that does both admissions and financial aid. Clearly, Lehigh Valley College and Career Education Corporation have used me and other students for money and they are now closing due to that fact. I have no job due to the college name because of the fact that the programs are eighteen months and society frowns upon how quick it takes you to earn a degree, which is why I am now on cash assistance through the welfare office.
