Ripoff Report Verified Safe

I recently requested a project to be completed by Michael Mann of webmediaprojects.com (Web Media Projects Inc.)

The project brief was to create a clone of the popular games site King.com. We agreed on the price of $3000 USD and also decided to stage the payments into 3 lots. $1000 for the initial deposit, $1000 after completion and $1000 to get the site. I sent two $500 payments on the 9th October 2007 and 19th October 2007 to cover the 1st payment and he began work soon after, or so he said.

It was due to be completed by the end of 2007. He missed a total of 11 deadlines and maintained the delays were due to the complexity of the site and staff problems. So i gave him a final deadline of Sunday 6th April 2008 for the site to be delivered or I would request a complete refund.

So 6th April came and went with no delivery.

So i asked why he missed the final deadline and he said

'What 11th deadline? What are you talking about?'

Kevin, I will not take any more of your abuse. Your email address is banned from our server. Your project is cancelled.

So i did a search of Michael Mann and saw many reports, including RipOffreports, who had been scammed by him and his company. i replied with a link to one of those stories requesting a full refund and he replied

'Yeah all of you guys that are pissed off with me cite my ex-employees postings to support your theory that our company is doing you wrong

Too bad. Your site would have been very popular

I see Michael Mann is also the subject of many other disgrunted clients RipOffReports.com and I have contacted Tayside Police (my local police) seeking advice on how to pursue this. Im also in the process of contacting Gulfport police regarding this matter.

This is common for Mike D. Mann.

This is common for Mike D. Mann. What he does is once you start questioning him, he will call it abuse. Then he will cancel your project and keep the deposit. He has done this to all customers whom he could not find free or open source software to give them. The times his sales were good, are times when he buys software off a pirate... mostly at Digital Point, downloads it from a nulled website, or just takes open source software and replaces the company name and copyrights from the software with his own.

Also, Mike Mann had no employees in October 2007. I say this because I quit, his Indian developers quit for non payment (Salus Technologies), and his own nephew in law quit for non payment and extreme verbal abuse.

Mike will cuss you out, threaten you, insult you, then cancel your project and keep the deposit.

I advise someone to setup honey pots for him so he can be held accountable. I recommend that all ripped off by Mike Mann contact the Federal Trade Commision and FBI in the usa.

Unfortunately, he really screws over international customers, knowing that they will never take a legal stance.

C'mon, Jeff. You are perpetuating the exact same stuff you put in your character attack in the beginning.

I never had a complaint in all of several years until you and your friend-in-thievery (Nick Burrett) started this and now it turns out he has been repaid by you.

Using this site for personal attacks agains me is not right. I know you have personal grudges against me and while I don't understand, I think it should have stayed personal and not on this site.

It's too easy to damage someone (or a company) here and funny, no one is responsible. Rip-Off Reports claims they are just purveyors of other persons statements, so they aren't responsible. You claim to have a legitimate beef. No one is responsible for the beginning of this attack, and then the bandwagon effect it has on any and everyone that wants to fight with me or my company.

Thankfully, we have enough clients to weather this attack, but Jeff, i have to tell you - this was dirty, and wrong.

And Kevin, yes, you are an a**hole. You saw, and approved a template we created at great cost. Our designer had it all done for you. The games were completed and we showed you both. The template and the games. While we were behind in integration, YOU WERE NEVER CHARGED THE SECOND FEE FOR BETA. The only payment you ever made was the deposit to get us started.

I notice you don't say anywhere in this that YOU SAW A TEMPLATE WE CREATED FOR YOU (and don't lie, Kevin, I have your THREE emails regarding the template) and I notice you don't say you saw the multiplayer games (and don't lie, Kevin. I have that email, too).

You claim you never saw anything?! So, you jump on the rip-off report bandwagon and claim the same thing a few others have.

I have the emails, Kevin. Keep that in mind while you show mine taken in a sequence that most favors your concept of what I should do.

You're just another one who wants to have us work and not get paid for what is rightfully ours.
