If you are a Mortgage Broker considering purchasing mortgage leads from Money Tree Funding.net...I urge you to read this complaint and please please please save your money.

If you haven't heard what's going on in the mortgage industry...then you have to be living under a rock (for that matter a VERY large rock).

We are Mortgage Brokers who have been in this business for over 17 years and have always managed to maintain a nice livelihood from it...mostly because we are honest individuals who strive to offer the best service and the best products to our customers and clients. Referrals and repeat business have been the substance of our business.

Just like everyone else in this horrific economy, we have been hit hard with the mortgage crunch. In May 2008 we decided to make a 'leap of faith' and purchase what were described to us as 'QUALIFIED leads' from moneytreefunding.net. We completed the order form with all of our filters of telephone area code, Good Credit Refinances and Purchases only, Rates of 7% or above, with 100% replacement of non-workable leads.

Of course we had to pay upfront for these leads at a cost of $22.50 per lead. The first 10 leads that we received were not even in the correct area code that we had requested! Several phone calls later to Mike Legrand (818-449-9600 X. 3024) and Mark (818-449-9600 x. 8036) they replaced these leads...but the leads they replaced them with were from individuals who had requested information from Money Tree Funding MONTHS AGO! By the time we received the leads these individuals had already completed their loan process with another lender and more importantly did not even remember being contacted by Money Tree Funding in the first place.

Many, many, many phone calls later (most of which were calls attempting to request a refund for these out and out horrible leads) we were once again told the leads would be replaced with a better quality and more recent lead. Initially we were told the leads we would be receiving were 'fresh', 'qualified with our filters' and 'broker specific--not being handed out to several other brokers in the system'. This was not the case at all with the next go-round of leads. They had been contacted by other brokers from Money Tree Funding.net....and in addition this grouping of leads all had loans with interest rates in the high 5%s and low 6%s. Again, our initial filters were individuals with loans at 7% or above.

Phone call after phone call after phone call Money Tree Funding resisted our request to refund our money. We spoke to Mrs. Boone in customer service who promised to resolve the issue for us and call us back within one hour...but never returned our phone call and when we attempted to reach her many many times and left her messages many many times she would not return our calls. We finally were transferred to Rich (rich@moneytreefunding.net) who assured us that he was going to take care of us and make us happy by providing the leads they had promised us in our initial order.

Rich told us that he would make sure the next replacement leads we received would be double verified and meet all of the filters of our initial order. He insisted he would personally supervise our leads and make sure they were what we had ordered. NOT So! Rich never came through and after leaving him 5 messages with no return phone call...we finally finally got through to him on our 6th phone call (probably by accident because everyone at moneytreefunding.net avoids you and won't return your phone calls).

There were no leads...no double verified leads...nothing at all. Today we spoke to Rich...again they will not refund our money. We requested to get to their legal department or any department that could make a decision on refunding our money. Rich said sure..he would transfer us to the Legal Department.

Guess what...I was transferred once again to the Customer Service department who has absolutely no authorities whatsoever. I spoke with Lelanni this time and she couldn't even spell. Kept pulling up the wrong account and insisting that we had started our account with them in April 2008. We were adament about getting the full name of an indivual who could refund our monies due to the fact that they had not provided 1 single lead that met the filters we had ordered. They would only give me a first name of the VP. Carol is the VP. Carol@moneytreefunding.net. They would not give us her phone number or anything else! Hiding from us again!

Lelanni insisted that no business would ever give out the last name of their VP. Guess what...wrong Lelanni. If you are hiding from something, then you won't give out names.

Money Tree Funding has completely totally scammed us out of our money at a time when we could not afford it. Every single one of their employees has lied to us (we do have documentation). They avoid you at all costs and will not help you or work with you at all.

If you are a Mortgage Broker looking for leads to help you through these very difficult times, PLEASE take note of our story and don't venture into moneytreefunding.net. They will do everything they can to get your money and then drop you like the last egg in the carton. In our opinion...and this is the forum to express our opinion...they are 100% complete total scammers.

We will be setting up a website (hopefully one that is of a similar name to theirs) and will be attaching our own phpBB forum on it so when that happens we'll come back and post again so that those that have had similar horrible experiences as ours can come to our forum and post.

Our website will be completely optimized with the search engines via articles, massive keyword content, directories, Squidoos, Hub Pages, and every social bookmarking site we can find in order to save many many many other mortgage brokers from falling into the same trap we did with moneytreefunding.net. They steal your money from you!

They have also trained their employees very very well to not work with you and avoidance is the name of their game. We highly highly highly recommend you do not even consider purchasing leads from moneytreefunding.net because of making money you'll only be throwing your money away, and who can afford that in these times?
