Ripoff Report Verified Safe

'Moving as we know it is stressful, that's why All American Movers can help eliminate the stresses of moving...' Does this sound familiar? Yea that's right, they got us too.

Our journey with All American Movers began when I spoke with a sales rep named Rachel. She was so nice and told us what we wanted to hear of course and we fell for it and decided to use ALL AMERICAN MOVING AND STORAGE (HOSTAGE) AKA ALLEVIATE VAN LINES INC.

They scheduled to pick up our things at 9 am on a Saturday and the Friday before I got a phone call from the guy, he said he would meet us between 12 and 2 pm (LIE #1). We had to rearrange important meetings to meet this guy to pick up our stuff. Then Rachel had told us to tell him we needed immediate delivery and that we should have our things that same week (LIE #2). They told us that packing and shipping materials would also be included in the cost (LIE#3). We were over charged! Rachel seemed to be helpful until they had our things, then she avoided us like the PLAGUE.

We were then told to talk to Angie, who is this RUDE, LYING, DECEIVING, UNPROFESSIONAL, EXCUSE MAKING dispatch they have working for them. She has been a b_ _ _ _ from the start. Her story began (the first week of having our things and having been paid in full by cc), with telling us that our things were in her storage and she was waiting for delivery drivers. I told her what Rachel had said about immediate delivery and she was basically telling me it didn't matter what she said, that our things were in her warehouse and her hands now. She kept telling me she would call me back and to give me an update and guess what, NOTHING! This went on for a week and half and finally after the 100th time calling her she said, that she got a hold of a driver and our things were on that truck.

Well our things have supposedly been on that truck for a three weeks now and we still have no where to sleep but on the floor. After weeks of waiting, I contacted the manager Rani Ullman, and told him that Angie in UNPROFESSIONAL, RUDE and does NOT represent the company well. I also made it clear that I did NOT want to deal with her anymore and he replied and told me he would look into it and get back to me. Well he did and guess what his response was,

'I am very sorry for the problems you are having with your delivery. I am going to check in with my dispatch to see what the hold up is if you would please be patient and just give me a day to look into this matter that would be greatly appreciated. once again I do apologize for the incovience I will give you a response tomorrow.

He did get back to me after I sent him a response at the end of the next day and he said,

'I did speak to my dispatch Angie she is going to get in contact with the driver to see when we will be able to have you delivered. I will have Angie give you a call and give you an update as soon as she speaks with the driver.

WHAT! DID HE HEAR ME? I DO NOT WANT TO DEAL WITH ANGIE! I GUESS NOT!
So I told him again that I did NOT WANT TO DEAL WITH ANGIE, and I asked him for the DRIVER's contact information. He sent another email saying,

'I do understand you want your items.We are working as fast as possible to get them to you. It is just a very busy season for us. unfortunately I am unable to give my drivers personal information out. Please trust I will make sure that you are taken care of.Someone in my office will be in contact with you to give details.

Well once again, it was FRIDAY and no one called me back. I was furious so I emailed him once again saying that I would cancel the cc payment and report them to the Better Business Bureau and his response was,

'I do understand your frustration. And I completely apologize for the delay in receiving your items. I am going to compensate you for the inconvenienc. please just give me time to see what is delaying your items. Please be patient I once again do apologize for the inconvenienc.

COMPENSATE for a MONTH of SLEEPING on the FLOOR, and all the TIME I have wasted and gotten NO WHERE, I DOUBT IT! We continue to wait and see since I can't even get a phone call back from them. It's going on week 5 now, as our SLEEPLESS NIGHTS on the FLOOR CONTINUE... 'ALL AMERICAN LIARS and HOSTAGE' this name suits them better, don't you think?
