Monterey, CaliforniaI got a pop up for antivirus 2009 asking if i wanted to scan my computer. I said yes, and something installed... every day i got on... it said it found more 'threats.' I ignored it for a while and my computer started beeping, getting a blue screen, and shutting off!! So I figured it was trying to crash and payed the 49.95 so the program would remove the viruses or whatever.
all the transaction says this...

I can't find them anywhere online. They don't exist!!
NOW a couple days after the payment cleared through my account... the icon on the desktop is gone!! I can't find it anywhere in my computer and I ran a scan with my old antivirus and it's finding a bunch of viruses... i think i just paid 50$ to mess up my system... ughhh!! I hate whoever is doing this. Don't let it happen to you. If it has, please let me know how you're dealing with it. Idk what to do....
