I'm one of the millions unemployed due to the economy. After I lost my unemployment benefits I was trying to hussle to find the next buck to put food on the table for my lil family. I found the ad on Craigslist for delivery driver for 1800-flowers, they were close to my home and I'm very familiar with the surrounding areas so I thought this was perfect. Let me start out by saying they charge customers a ridiculous amount of money for a bouquet and they pay their drivers $6 per package delivered, at least that is what I was told. They do not reimburse drivers for their milage either.  Drivers are expected to live off of $6 per package delivered and tips if any.

I worked there for 3 days, two days before mothers day, and my final day was the Monday after mother's day 2011. The Friday after Mother's day I picked up my first check for the two days I worked, that same day I asked that they mail me my final check because I no longer wanted to work for that company, they said fine. 2 weeks go by and still no check, so I go in to pick it up, not even bothering to ask why they didn't send it. As soon as I get the check, I go to my bank to cash it. Well apparently this large company does not have the funds to cover payment of my check, please note... $48 is what I'm owed.... I'm thinking are you kidding me!

The bank teller tells me I can deposit it, but I run the chance of getting fined for a bounced check. I say, no, I'll call them and see what the problem is. I call the office and they give me the run around on how and why I waited so long to pick up the check. The accountant nor the manager I left messages with refused to return my calls. Every day for 3 weeks I go to the bank to see if the funds are available. And of course they are not. Today is June 1 and I called there yesterday to speak with the Accountant, now that i have her real name and she tells me to come in tomorrow, which is today after 10am to pick up the new check, which I did, and guess what, she's not there nor is there a check waiting for me. The receptionist then tells me to come back after 2pm and they'll give me cash so they say. We'll find out after 2pm.

I am sick and tired of dealing with these people, just pay me the money you owe me and we'll be done with it. If possible, I will keep Ripoffreport updated with my story.

My message to everyone out there, please do not work for this company or order from them. If they did this to me for $48 I can imagine what they have done to others for more. Just read the reports from others who have had the same problem as I or even worse.

After a month of calling and trying to deposit their check for the services I rendered, they have finally paid me the money that they owed me. Personally I wouldn't dare work for these people ever again, but it's up to you to decide.
