What this company says and what this company does are two entirely different circumstances. What I was told when I initially got a call past 9 p.m. at night was that they were in fact a student loan consolidation company, that WORKS WITH studentloans.gov (They do not work with them. I clarified this with The Education Department. They use studentloan.gov just like any person can do to consolidate and apply themselves. In fact, The Education Department has not heard of 1file.org accoring to who I spoke with). They make it seem like they can get you the best rate with them versus if you were to do it on your own. They bate you. They word things very carefully; however, they also lied to me and did not provide the services they did in fact state they were going to do.

They consolidate your loans and charge you $150.00 for the first 3 months. After that, I was told word per word, I would be charged the fee one a month of 30 dollars, and that the reduced amount of the loan for $53.00. They stated they would call me before payments are due EACH MONTH to make sure I could afford it, and that the $53.00 in the $83.00 they were collecting would go toward my student loans. This is a lie. None of it when toward my student loans. In fact, I am not delinquent on my loans according to The Education Department and have had to place a forbearance on my loans. None of the money went toward my loans.

I called The Federal Student Loans department and they stated, "I am so sorry you were scammed. You need to call your local Attorney General's office and the FTC and report this." I did in fact do just that. I also looked into the BBB and was surprised that they have an A rating when over 75% of the reviews were negative, and people ended up with the same results I did. I also noticed the company would reply, very rudley, back to these people and give detailed information about the person and what they infact actually "signed." I am fairly certain that information violates privacy practices of information. I also had to cancel my debit card, notify my bank and the fraud department, as well as put a fraud alert on my credit report.

I called these people back wanting my money. The first girl that answers wants my social security number. I refused to give it to her and asked for a manager. She puts me on hold, and I get Andy, who I had previously spoken with and he knew EXACTLY who I was, and I hadn't given any information of who I was. Not even my name. I asked for a manager. She rudley told me that I should had known what I signed up for...well.. I didn't sign anything. I don't even have any paperwork except from the Federal student loan service. I got rude back. I told her I had nothing to discuss with her, that they were preying on low income people, that I wanted my money back within the next 10 days or I will file a lawsuit. She hung up on me, after screaming in my ear.

These people gave me the impression they were going to consolidate and use half of the money to pay my student loans. These people falsified information given to me and stated that they WORKED WITH The Department of Education, not that they hack into your accounts when you can actually do it yourself. I have also changed all my account information with The Department of Education. There are no coinsidences. Somehow these people have an A rating on the BBB, but I beg you to read the reviews because that needs to reflect more so than the A rating they some how have.

Do NOT work with these people. Do not let them bate you. Go to the studentloans.gov website yourself and handle it yourself. I realize I probably will never get that money back, and now I have to dig myself out of a debt hole I was tricked into, but that does not mean I will not stop fighting until a class action lawsuit is in place.
