I am writing because of 1st American Storage on Skipper Road Tampa FL.  I rented space L0013 on February 27, 2016.  I paid 1.00 dollar for first Month and First Months Rent for this until and paid in full until March 31, 2016.  When I sent my Son to get his stuff out of the unit on March 9, 2016 there was a safe lock on unit and he was told he had to pay for March to get into the unit.  He paid 68.79 cash to the Manager to get into the unit.  I called several times then left work and drove there.  Showed my lease and that I was paid in full until the end of March 2016 and asked why my son was charged again for March and a locked placed on the unit when it had only been 11 days? She told me the system was messed up and a Regional Manager would have to call me.  It is now March 10, 2016.  I still am waiting for the Regional Manager to call me to give me for my refund of 68.79 dollars charged in error because of a system malfunction.  I know the laws of Florida as I work for a Global Law Firm and this was definitely a fraud charge and unlawful denial of access to my unit so I am writing to make sure I get my 68.79 cash back asap or I will file lawsuit against 1st American Storage for lost of wages to address this issue and for my inconvenience of being locked out of unit and paying a ransom that I didn't owe to access my unit.
