1stFoldingChairs.com Larry Hoffman Failure to Deliver Product and Refund Payment Internet

On March 21st 2013 my company called Larry Hoffman of 1stfoldingchairs.com to get a quote on some 10 72" round tables, 10 48" round chairs, 150 White Resin Chairs and 100 Chivari cushions. Larry sent us a quote and said he had everything in stock and could ship immediately after a payment was made. We decided to send him a check a couple days later since there is a 2% fee for credit card payment. We got this email on March 26th 2013.

None of the items were shipped. We had to rent 48" round tables from another company. Since Larry blatantly lied to us about the availability. On April 5th we received this email

Only the 150 White Resin Chairs arrived. On his website 1stfoldingchairs.com it states that the chairs have a can hold up to 1000 lbs. But every chair had a sticker on it stating that is can hold 275 lbs. I called Larry about this and he said he would talk to the manufacturer and get back to me. 3 month later he still has not addressed this after numerous conversations. Unfortunately this is the least of my problems so far. 

After numerous phone calls and voicemails. I was constantly given the answer that the everything would be shipped in a couple days. About a month and a half later the 48" round tables arrived with out warning. Unfortunately what I really needed was the 72" rounds as we had a reservation for them months ago and I thought we would have them by now. 

On May 17th 2013 after numerous calls Larry finally contacted me saying that he would refund us for the 72" rounds. Shockingly he wasn't aware that we not only haven't received the 72" rounds but also haven't received the chair cushions. He said he would send a refund for them also. I called the following week to see what the status was of the payment.

He said he sent a check for $1525 via Fedex, however he didn't have a tracking number. I called him numerous time to get a tracking number. But never got a correct tracking number. I then called FedEx to find out if they had a envelope. They did but he wrote down the wrong address. We went to the address he wrote down and was able to get the check. However the check bounced non-sufficient funds. Which at this point was very shocking. 

I called him on June 6th to tell him about the check which he said he would send a certified check. Obviously we haven't received a certified check by now. It has gone so far with him that on July 2nd he told me he sent a certified check and gave me a tracking number. However it was the tracking number from the previous check he sent. 

I highly recommend you do not purchase anything from this scumbag. I placed over a 100 calls since we've sent him money and maybe 10 of those have been answered. I have been constantly lied to and jerked around about when our items or money was being sent. Seeing that he has a long history of doing this and there have been people that have taken legal action to recover their money we will do the same. We are also part of the American Rental Association and will report him so other rental companies will not make the same mistake we did.
