Refused to fix our dishwasher even though it was covered under our warranty. Very rude customer service.

A few months ago, we contacted 2-10 because our dishwasher wasn't working. They set us up with a contractor who cancelled multiple times, and then was unable to fix the problem. We requested a different contractor; they refused and sent the same contractor. This contractor, after three visits and collecting $65 service fee from us, still did not fix the problem.

When we called to ask for a different contractor, we were told our claim was denied because the contractor said we had purposely broken our dishwasher. After several hours, and being hung up on twice by 2-10 personnel, we were able to get them to send someone out for a second opinion. They only agreed to do this if we promised to "pay a very high fee" if the second opinion said we were at fault.

The second contractor was able to fix our problem, and confirmed we were innocent and not responsible for the problem. I called 2-10 to request an apology for our treatment, and the fact that the issue took over 120 days to resolve. Their customer service person said that they still didn't really believe us and "it wasn't their problem". The customer service rep also said they refused to issue an apology because they had done nothing wrong.

The 2-10 warrantee website states "If a covered system breaks down, you call one toll-free number for any covered item and we will dispatch a contractor to make the repair. You pay the contractor a small deductible and we pay the rest for any covered item. No hassle with finding a contractor or worrying about negotiating for the correct repair." This is a lie. We had to make over 30 phone calls in order to get them to repair our dishwasher. If we hadn't spent over 4 hours in a single day on the phone with various managers, they would have denied our claim completely.
