I sent a press release using 24-7 Press Release. This service was supposed to cost $89, and it did at first. But about two weeks later the company charged the amount to my credit card a second time. What a scam!

Their distribution service didn't even get me one single call from any reporter. Sure it got me a listing in google, but I could have done that for free. And now they want to bill me twice!

I tried contacting the company regarding this but everyone who worked their seemed rude and were unwilling to cooperate. They told me that the mistake was being corrected, but that was a LIE. It's been two additional weeks and I'm still missing 89 dollars that is rightfully mine.

The claims posted by "Jason" are inaccurate.

Claim #1:
"But about two weeks later the company charged the amount to my credit card a second time"

Fact:
24-7PressReleases uses two highly regarded, reputable credit card processing companies for transaction processing. PayPal & 2CO. We do not have the ability to "double charge" a customer. If PayPal or 2CO had charged a customer twice, they would be required to contact the processing company. The only way a customer would be charged twice is if they submitted the same press release twice.

Claim #2:

Fact:
If a customer does not submit a press release that is of interest to a journalist, or if a customer does not submit a press release that is professionally written we cannot force journalists or reporters to publish a story. This is up to the individual submitting the press release to ensure it is of interest to the public and written in a professional tone. For the being billed twice, please see Claim #1 response.
