321 Studios DVD X Copy rebate fraud "check's in the mail" routine - promise the consumer anything take their money then stall until they go away Ripoff Saint Charles Missouri

On October 27, 2003 I submitted all required items for a $55 rebate on a CompUSA/Microsoft Office/DVD XCopy Xpress bundle offer. In December the 321 Studios web site indicated that my rebate had been "prepared". A followup e-mail on January 26 went unanswered.

I spoke with a 321 Studios Representative named Jessica on March 12. She apologized and promised to speak to her supervisor and have a check mailed right away. In early May their web site indicated "rebate check prepared-your check number is 46239" Please allow 7 to 14 days to receive your check." I sent an additional e-mail to follow up. No response again! It is now June 1, 2004 almost eight months later and I still have nothing but the run around.

Coincidentally, my friend purchased the same offer on the same day from CompUSA and has gotten the same treatment from 321 Studios. This is part of a pattern of lies and deceipt. I strongly urge the many others like me out there to write complaint letters to merchants who are still offering 321 Studios rebates.

I am writing to merchants who carry their false rebates as well as the Consumer Affairs Division of my State Attorney General's Office and urge others to do the same.
Don't let them get away with it!!
