Our son tried out for 365LAX' 2023 5th Grade boys lacrosse team. Despite making the team and receiving emails and calls from 365LAX promising that they were going to field a combined 5th and 6th Grade team, 2 days after demanding that we pay them $400 to hold our son's spot on the roser, we were informed that 365LAX was not going to field a 5th Grade boys team. We attempted to contact Tom Michealsen from 365LAX about the return of the $400 since they were not fielding a 5th grade. However, no calls were returned. We contacted AMEX [our credit card company] to dispute this charge as services were never rendered. Surprisingly 365LAX objected to the dispute and actually misrepresented to AMEX that they were having a team and services were rendered. When we demonstrated the opposite, Tom attempted to create a fictionalized team merge with the LIHITMEN, [another Lacrosse team our son also made and was now on], insisting that the two teams had merged and the $400 was going to be applied to any payments sent to LIHITMEN. LIHITMEN denied this claim, denied the merge and any affiliation with 365LAX insisting that any payment made to 365lax was independent to their organization. Tom initially emailed on November 2, 2015 that a refund would be provided and has now reneged. We have been advised that 365LAX has done this to other families, refused to refund the $400 paid to hold a place on a team that is no longer fielding a 5th grade boys team. We tried in good faith to resolve this with Tom but he has completely ignored our emails and requests. |
