411 Business Media Inc. Benchmark Industries 411 Telemarketing Scam - 411 Business Media/Benchmark Industries, out of Montreal, Quebec Canada

SCAM - The company calls, asks for someone whom pays the bills on advertising.  They spoke with my Accounts Payable individual whom thought she was being asked for payment of an outstanding invoice and to confirm the correct mailing address.  They state they are 411 Business Media, they do not record the SALES CALL, how convenient.  When I asked to here the SALES CALL, they do not have that information or the recording of the call. 

They do however have a recorded call of the individual confirming their Correct name and mailing address and they ask are you authorized to provide this information...dah..name and address information yes, but to commit to a purchase of some sort of INTERNET Advertising NO at a cost of a mer $689.95 annual fee plus taxes.  Just to put your NAME and ADDRESS on their WEBSITE.  We have our own WEBSITE advertising.

We have emailled and called them numerous times and they have stated they have called us also.  Within a proper timeframe, the invoice and transaction information was sent back to 411 Business Media stating that the transaction was not authorized by an individual of authorization or spending capabilities, and that no service should be provided.

No proof of the ADVERTISING was provided at any time.  Each time they have called my AP person the answer they have received is the invoice has not been approved for payment-to which it will not be approved for payment.  SCAM  SCAM  SCAM

Now 120 days later they are still persuing the invoice and payment but will offer a $100 discount should the invoice be paid today by Credit Card. Take our name off your listing and stop calling.
