Beware of this SCAM store. The store sign says Verizon in big letters. In very tiny letters it says 4G Retailer. They never tell you they are not Verizon. They proceeded to lie to us in several matters, get us to sign a contract which we were not allowed to read (therefore we actually agreed to only their verbal statements).

Bottom line is that we paid top dollar to upgrade phones, instead of getting the Verizon deal. We were taken for over $1,000!

Verizon is complicit in this scam. They know these stores are masquerading as official Verizon Wireless outlets and ripping people off and they don't care.

Update 05-19-2015

AUTHOR: - ()

POSTED: Tuesday, May 19, 2015

Today I accepted a settlement offer from Verizon Wireless Correspondence Team (the parent company). They were gracious and did the right thing, which I very much appreciate. I still have concerns with the way in which this (4G Wireless) store conducts business but at this time my complaint is resolved.

Thank you for responding. Who are you? You are wrong. This store definitely is pretending to be Verizon Wireless. This is set up to make sure the customer is confused and does not read the signed contract. I'd like to discuss this in person.

4G wireless is a FRANCHISE and NOT a corporate store. Verizon has ZERO control over a franchise and franchises get to make up their own rules and policies. That's the problem with franchises, NO ACCOUNTABILITY!!!!! Now I hate to say this, but YOU DO have a right to view the contract BEFORE you sign it. If YOU did not make the representative STOP so YOU could read and be fully informed as to the terms of said contract then YOU only have yourself to blame. At NO POINT are they allowed to NOT allow YOU to view what YOU are signing. As with ANY complaint there is ALWAYS three sides to a tale. YOUR side and YOUR perspective, THIER side and THIER perspective and THE TRUTH which more often then not bears no reality to EITHER sides version of truth. We have read YOUR SIDE and in it YOU attempt to play the best victim possible. Which is understandable to a SMALL degree. But there was a FAILURE on BOTH sides of this and YOU need to admit YOUR PART in all of this. Odds are that YOU just wanted that new phone and be damned the contract. YOU probably just signed away without reading BECAUSE YOU wanted that new phone. YOU ASSUMED that the information in that contract had NOT changed since the last time YOU got an upgrade. So YOU were NOT worried when YOU signed it. Only NOW that there is an issue do YOU CLAIM that THEY didn't do THIER part yet YOU couldn't be bothered to do YOUR part. The point is YOU CANNOT put it ALL on THIER shoulders, YOU have to accept that YOU didn't do YOUR part as well.
