Moved in the middle of a 58" TV being sent to me from Tiger Direct.  There was a $200 rebate advertised for a $599 Seiki 58" 1080p LED TV on TigerDirect.com.  I purchased the TV, and while it was en route to the address on the invoice, I moved.  I called Tiger Direct, and sent in all the information they needed to change the delivery address.  TV was successfully delivered to the new address.

Well, 4myrebate.com denied my rebate because they said the rebate address doesn't match the address on the invoice.  Note that Tiger Direct verified my address and identity, as did the delivery/logistics service AIT.  The TV is in my possession, and I sent in all required documentation.  I simply did not want them to sent my rebate to my old address, because I no longer have keys to that box, and I didn't want someone else to get ahold of the check or gift card.  There is a high turnoever of tenants at that address, and I couldn't be sure that my mail would be properly forwarded (eventhough I requested it via USPS).  So  now I am out of $200 because of an address change.  Mind you, I have a driver's license which has my current address, paper trails and receipts as well as USPS forwarding and change of address documentation.

I emailed them to see if anything can be done about this...just because the address doesn't match the invoice (I bought the TV after we had been displaced by flooding, so my address wasn't permanent anyway), they will deny the rebate.  I WILL NEVER buy anything from Tiger Direct again, whether it has a rebate attached or not.  And I will report this company everywhere I can until something is done about them ripping people off and playing games.  I ordered the TV on October 5, and here is is December 5, and they have emailed me saying my rebate is denied.  f**k them.  I will make sure they pay one way or another for this.

Rebate Link and Proof of Mismanagement

AUTHOR: - ()

POSTED: Saturday, December 05, 2015

Here is the link for my rebate. I have recorded conversations with both AIT logistics (who delivered the TV to my home) and Tiger Direct authorizing the change of my address after verifying my identity.  To be ripped off for $200 over something so trivial as a rebate delivery address not matching the invoice is telling me this company and Tiger Direct is fraudulent.

I hope people ban together and sue their sorry asses in a class-action lawsuit.  I should have looked them up before I bought the TV because had I seen all those complaints online beforehand, I would have just ordered my TV from somewhere else.
