786-484-2270 Financial Crimes Department- FBI SCAM ALERT-786-484-2270 Miami, Florida

We received a call from 786-484-2270, he stated his name was Officer James White, even though he had very think middle eastern accent or Indian. He stated that he was from the FBI Financial Crimes department and that he had a warrant for the arrest of my mother in law. He stated that she was used as a co-signer on an on-line loan that was done by someone we know. He stated that the loan was in default and wanted my mother in laws bank account information to repay the loan. My mother in law is retired and doesn't have a bank account. This man threatened to have her arrested within a couple hours. When I called to confront him, he said that I would be arrested too. I asked him to send copies of legal papers he said " I am not your father servant" and hung up. When you recall the number it says it is a magic jack number, however magic jack could not verify it. I traced it to Miami; however that is probably just a hub or something of the sort. This man is very abusive and threatening. It wouldn't take much to frighten an elderly person into giving their information. We filed a police report not that it will do much good. These scammers are very good at hiding. This man tried this with my mother in law a year ago. They do not stop, I called AT&T to have the number blocked is calling from, he will probably just call from another. PLEASE don't be a victim.
