7rent.com 7rent 7rent.com does not expect to have to do any major work to apartments like carpet cleaning or painting between tenets. Will nickle and dime you out of your deposit. only allowed for 1 day between rente Internet
With that said the problem came up when it was time to move out. We called the landlord manager Angel about what we were going to do upon moving out. She replied by telling us that sounds great I was going to come over and point stuff out but doesn't sound like I need too. We also asked her if we should prep the walls for paint from tackle holes for hanging picture and such. She said yes that would also be great.
So we did all of this, we scrubbed the walls with soap and water. We brought in a carpet cleaner and used oxi clean in it not soap so it would not attract dirt for future tenets and cleaned all the carpets. We spacled all of the holes in the walls and sanded them down so that one coat of paint would cover them up. We cleaned the baseboads, the light fixtures, the closets, the kitchen, everything we could think of. We spent about 7 hours of cleaning with me and my roommate and both sets of our parents.
Now we did do all of this cleaning and there were still some dirty spots on the walls that would need painting we knew this.
The landlord showed the house the next day to the new tennants. At this time we had most of our stuff out of the house and had spent the day before cleaning. We still had 4 days left on your lease. We asked Angel to tell us if there were things wrong with the place becuase we would be more than happy to fix them. She agreed and called us the next day and left a message saying there were problems the walls were dirty in one bedroom and the whole bedroom would need painting.
The next day we went back to clean more and paint rooms we though might take away money. We got there and there was a crew already painting the place. We are still on the lease we payed to still be living there. We were never given the chance to fix the problems.
When we got a deposit back we we charge over 300 dollars for labor in painting. A total all together of over 600 dollars.
7rent only gave them self 1 day inbetween renters. That means that if we did stay until our lease end the would have 1 day to paint and get the place ready for the new renters. Our lease ended July 30th and the new renters moved in August 1st.
The do not think that basic things such as cleaning carpet or painting needs to be done inbetween renters. 1 day is not enough time to get a place ready. So to fix that they came in early and fixed stuff we were trying to fix that we even asked them to let us know so we could fix it. Then they charge you for it.
7 rent was a great place to live. And they like us when we were there. The owner came by and told us that if we ever needed anything ever to just let him know. This is because I planted grass at that house, I put in a flower bed lined with bricks. We were good tenants.
If you are going to rent from 7rent expect to be charged for little thing when you leave, and when you move in be sure to take pictures. They cant fix everything they only have 1 day then when you move out the will charge you for things that were like that when you moved in.
