    Okay so here is the facts of what I seen during my long period at this company. First off if you get the interview your hired. Ive never seen anyone come in that didnt get the job. The owner steve mitchel is a very big guy and like to present himself like a boss always bragging on how he took the business from his ex wife and changed the name. He operates the business under his daughters name. legal or illegal? you decide.

    lets move forward.   He is either going to pay you houly or salary. If in fact he pays you hourly expect very long work hours. you will work over 40 hours, but since your an "independant contractor" you will not recieve overtime. If you are paid commission or "percentage" as he calls it you will never know the price of the job because he will never tell you, so in a nutshell you never know how to keep track of what ur making nor will you ever know what you make. Which is perfect for him because he will never give you what you made in the first place. Now he says that he does not tell you the price on each job because he does not want you to go behind his back and take his customers but thats not the reason. its so he can perform surgery on your paycheck which see's his pockets fit.

 

Another thing is his own customers. If he is shipping frieght for another courier service to there customers, he ofter goes to that customer gathering information on how much there paying the courier or trucking company that he is 3rd wheeling for and cut there throat by offering a very lower price on shipping costs than the company that gave him that contract in the first place, which cuts out the other courier/trucking company completely and he takes over the client. legal or illegal?  you decide.



    You may work short days but you will deffinately work long days as well. He give you uniforms, will not inform you that he takes them out of ur check unless you ask. if you leave or stop working there, you have to return the uniforms before he gives you your last check. Why are you returning something you paid for just to get a check you worked for? legal or illegal...you decide.



   He hires convicted felons off the street and pays them 45 dollers a day.....ill say it again 45 dollers a day!! they are your helper so there out there just as long as you, if your out there 12 hours so are they but they get that 45 and run with it. He knows with there record they are not going to be hired anywhere else or at least thats how he makes them feel. they are belittled into thinking they need this job because of there record and alot of them do it for that reason. who else works 12 hours a day 5 days a week for 220 a week. legal or illegal...you decide.



   You are required to drive trucks along the east coast delivering products to residential and business areas. Not knowing how much your making, not knowing what the package is and not knowing what time you will be off, most important is the packages that you deliver almost 80% of the time you will have to assemble on arrivel so your not knowing how to finnish the delivery at that. you do get a screw driver and set of pliers with inistructions. goodluck.. lets just hope u get it together because if you dont, you wont be paid for it. legal or illegal... you decide.



   Last but certainly not least are the paychecks. remember i said there 1099, u get paid bi weekly, he will not give you your paycheck until after 2pm on friday, why? because that gives his bank time to clear so it wont go through until the following monday. which by the way if u cant recieve your check until after 2pm he already knows you will be out working out of town and probably wont see base again until after 7pm which by that time the banks are closed and your out of luck cashing your check. and guess what? THEY DO NOT OFFER DIRECT DEPOSIT!



   Your labeled and independant contractor meaning by law if you do not choose to work you dont have to. well that rule does apply here but they have a way of pressuring the stability of your services when you do need time off.  during the months I was there I watched numberous people quit. Its all business to him. Your checks will get smaller and smaller until you do quit. then he hires another driver pays him cheap training salary and forces them to quit later as well. legal or illegal...you decide

 

 The straw that broke the camals back was the dispatcher. Knowing your not making any money, have no benefits and still have to pay thousands of dollers at the end of the year expect to be disrespected by the dispatcher on a daily basis. She is a very rude woman and unforgiving with the way she talks to and about you.
