A-1 Garage Door Service If wishes were only promises! Phoenix Arizona

I contacted this company just after 8:00 AM in the morning on March 17, 2013 by the phone number listed.  After waiting a lengthy time on a noisey answering service, a rep came on by the name of "Scott".  

I asked Scott would he honor the internet yellow pages 5% discount per my being a Triple A (AAA) member.  He said yes.  I then proceeded to ask him if he would still honor the website discount offered by his company for a "free service call, free estimate, and free safety inspection check on my garage doors.  Scott said he was unaware of that offer.  I told him his website allowed for coupon to be printed, and he then said he would honor that too.

With that being said I asked for appointment and he indicated "James" would be out on March 17, 2013 from 3 PM to 5 PM, and he would call 30-minutes in advance.  At 2:35 PM James indeed called, confirmed my service address and said he would be there. I asked him if he knew of my pending discounts and he said he did not, and we could discuss upon his arrival in 25 to 30 minutes.

At 3:45 PM I called James back directly and I said where are you, and he said his company rerouted him to another client, and they were suppose to have called me.   At 4:00 PM I got a hold of a "Tom" who said he had no record of my appointment and he could not send someone out until the next day.  I explain to him that I took the afternoon off of work for this appointment and I could not afford to take another day off with no pay.  He said he would call me back.

He never did.  It should be noted that I followed up with "Scott" within a half hour of my call on a internet form letter that I retained a copy of, of our entire discussion and agreement.  I kept a copy of this form letter which was dated March 17, 2014 at 9:13 AM.

I strongly recommend the consumer not use this business.  They have poor customer service, a horrific phone answering service, and do not honor their advertised discounts.  Not to mention appointments made are not fulfilled.
