A Great Fence Derrick Bailey Unacceptable work - demanding full payment - threatining to tear down fence Port St. Lucie Florida

A Great Fence was contracted to build our fence.  We paid a deposit of $1,690 in advance.  Opon completion of the fence we complained to the worker that the spacing between the pickets was unacceptable to our HOA.  He replied that he could not do the spacing (per the contract at 1/12") because he did not have a table saw.  We complained to the owner of the business and send many pictures to show the unacceptable work.  The owner did not come to inspect the fence.  We then were informed by numerous sources that this is how this company operates.  14 days later and no repairs we told the company that we did not want them back on our property.  The company now has threatened to tear down the fence, for which we have already paid for the materials and then some.  We told them they could tear down the fence if they returned our money.  There are at least 15 areas of inconsistant spacing, and parts that are not level.  We will now have to tear down and fix many areas ourselves.  In the meantime we are living with their threat of comming onto our property and tearing down the fence.  The fence company puts up a substandard fence that will not pass the permit inspection, makes a threat to tear it down and is not taking into consideration the $1,690.00 already paid.
