I'm writing this because I know that some of my former "business partners" over at A & J Advertising (a subsidary of DS MAX) read the posts on this website. Hopefully, they'll reconsider their position in life after seeing their own company here.

I started working for A & J about two and half weeks ago, which isn't a long time, but it's long enough to realize their ideas of running a business, and perhaps more importantly, their way of treating employees. Neither of which I can say I agree with.

First of all, their ways of conducting business are anything but ordinary. In a normal business in marketing you would have actual clients that you promote items to, not go door to door trying to push generic (and more often then not, useless) crap on poor business owners. You would be compensated for fuel and tolls. And you would be treated as an adult, and more importantly, a human being, not like a toddler running around a playground at daycare.

In my short stint at A & J I had someone in my immediate family pass away from a terminal hereditary disease. They allowed me to take one day off to say goodbye, though I had to arrange for the funeral to take place on a Sunday so as not to miss anymore work. I have been showing symptoms of the same disease for quite some amount of months, and after the funeral my concern was that I should go to the doctor and get checked out, but the only day I could do this was on Monday, the day following the funeral.

So I called the owner, a seemingly nice guy, and expressed to him my concerns, to which he replied, "Well, you need to decide what's more important to you". Now, I might not be the sharpest crayon in the box, but how am I to be a success for my business if I die from a terminal disease that could have been treated? I explained to him that first and foremost I am concerned for my health, and was discharged from my position.

In my time there I also witnessed them coercing someone with food poisoning to come in to work anyway. "Just don't eat anything, drink a red bull, you'll be fine". The guy came in that day, became even more sick, and didn't show up after that day. I can't say I blame him.

So DS Max and all of it's subsidaries, JUICE by you for cheating honest people into buying your crap, and for fooling hard working people into thinking they will all have a future with you no matter what happens. JUICE by you for finding a way to treat people as if they were lower then dirt, and at the same time making them believe they have a world of opportunity inside your corrupt and diluted little world. HEY GUYS! Good luck when you're empire comes crashing down around you, as empires often do.
