A-Plus Installations, LLC P. C. Richards COVERED WITH SOOT West Hartford Connecticut

Having recently moved into a new home and in the middle of a lease purchase agreement the seller contacted P. C. Richards a local appliance superstore to purchase a replacement gas range. The range was delivered on 4/8/17 by two gentlemen who arrived in a P.C. Richards truck wearing P.C. Richards uniforms. The range required converstion from natural gas to propane and upon completion the gentlemen left our home.

Just a few days later on Good Friday we placed a large prime rib in the oven on low temperature to prepare for dinner guests later that evening. We left the home to return a few hours later and discover an acidy smell and mist type cloud in the area of the kitchen. We shut off the range, began ventalating the area and discovered our roast was ruined.

We immediatley contacted P.C. Richard and was told they would send our a service technician the following Monday. Finally on Tuesday the original installation team showed up and claimed that there must be a problem with the rage from the factory. We were instructed by P. C. Richards service and claims department to contact WHirpool/Amanna and the factory sent out a technician the following day who found the soot and damge was caused by a faulty installation. We were then referred back to the seller P. C. Richard.

We have had nothing but nighmares trying to clean up and deal with the soot in our new home, we have damages to our personal contents and there is damage to recently painted walls, trim and ceilings. We have a circa 1950 vintavge chrome leather dining set that appears to have serious damages from the acid of settling soot. It took P. C. Richards an additional 8 days to bring a replacement unit all the while explaining that there installation department would be in touch for the claim and clean up.

We have discovered that A-Plus Installation a Home Improvement Contrator based out of West Hartford, Connecticut is actually the contract installer who P. C. Richards now claims is responsible for our damages. P. C. Richards corporate offices out of Farmingdale, New York assure us that someone from A-Plus will be in touch. We have finally tracked down A-Plus through the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection and are submitting formal complaints this afternoon.

This shoddy installation and poor customer service on the part of A-Plus and P. C. Richards is horrible. We have thousands of dollars in damages and we keep getting the run around. One manager from A-Plus by the name of Bret was going to come out today but called and now he can't come out for a couple of days. My wife has respitory issues and this is not a healthy environment for her to be exposed to, we have exotic birds who shouldn't be exposed to this soot. Even after multiple efforts to clean surfaces while we await the response from A-Plus we still are finding soot and the home has been destroyed by a faulty installation.

If I was Nicholas Sackandy the owner of A-Plus Installations I would be jumping through hoops to make this matter right. It's a shame that consumers have to endure this type of treatment and abuse. We have been insulted by both of these companies and their employees. We have clear documentation, video and phot evidence of the failures that have occurred from the initial installation and subsequent visits yet no one wants to assume responsibility for their actions.

We are NOT going to give up and just go away Mr. Sackandy. We are not going to forget the poor treatment we have been given by P. C. Richards.  You may sweep your screw ups under the rug and hope they will disappear or get tired of waiting for results...this is NOT the case here.
