A+Quality Melons Formely R & R Melons are rip off artist. They short pay you on loads and slow pay. They get paid from the shipper and then use your money to operate with. It has been over 70 days and we still haven't recieved payment from them. They use excuses like there was damaged product. One partner is already doing prison time for ripping people off.

thank you,

dispatch

A+ Quality Melons Positive Experience

AUTHOR: Ron Lane - (USA)

POSTED: Friday, September 02, 2011

Just wanted to drop a line and let you know that we have dealt with A+ Qulity Melons for around 6 months and in that time have found them cordial and reputable to deal with. Rhonda and Rose are very professional and curteous to work with.  They try to work through issues that may arise and are fair in dealing with issues.

We have billed them for serveral loads that we moved for them and they have paid us on time for every load in a 30 day pay period.  Unless there is a problem on a load which can not be resolved in a timely manner they are always fair and easy to work with and we have found them to be a very good customer for us.  In fact we appreciate their business..

We do not wish to be involved in the middle of this dispute but we can give them a positive reference in our dealings with them.  \

Thank you and have a nice day.

Agency for Gold Bond Transport.

A+ Quality Melons-no ripoff, just good business

AUTHOR: K Schulz One Horn Trans - (United States of America)

POSTED: Monday, August 29, 2011

I'm an independent freight broker and have serviced many produce shippers.  Rarely have I ever done business with anyone as professional, courteous and honest as A+ Quality Melons.  Ronda and Rose Elliotte were always available with any information I needed throughout the entire process of a freight shipment, especially when it came time for them to pay their bill.  In the freight business many things can wrong on any shipment, and it is up to all parties involved - the broker, the shipper, the carrier or the consignee -  to accept responsibility for their actions.  Unfortunately their are too many players in this business who are never willing to do so, but would rather slander the people for whom they are supposed to be working.  In all my business with A+ Quality Melons they have always maintained their integrity, paid their invoices on time and been completely honest with me.  I look forward to handling their freight in the future.  It appears to me that the real ripoff is the people attempting to slander A+ Quality Melons as well as this website which allows this foolishness to be posted without a shred of evidence and furthermore uses search engine tricks to get their website ranked high when A+ Quality Melons is searched.  Hopefully anyone accessing this website would have the sense to see this for what it is - slanderous BS combining with Internet tricks.

A+ Quality Melons are a great customer

AUTHOR: Melissa - (United States of America)

POSTED: Saturday, August 27, 2011

I have been working with them a lot this season. They not only paid all my invoices in full, but they also paid well under 30 days. They paid one of our orders before we even invoiced!

In my opinion, if they short paid an order...there was a very good reason. And that's IF... I find it hard to believe they would just refuse payment or even delay it. They have always been very good to me.

Kevin Donley with Ultra Transportation loaded 2 loads for us for the Fourth of July Holiday Shipping to our Chain Store.

The first load delivered 6/27/11 late (limped in on a flat tire), which we appreciated and relayed this to the driver and to Kevin. Per our Freight Confirmation the Terms are 30 days from receipt of Proof of Delivery. We paid this load in Full 7/25/11 (within our terms).

The second load was a disaster from the beginning. The load was picking up in Cottonwood, AL 6/28 Tuesday to deliver to Springfield, OH 6/30 Thursday. Kevin Donley told me the truck was having Radiator repairs and eta to load was Noon. Kevin then called and said eta 2-3pm. The driver called around 6pm and asked if he could load 6/29 Wed. morning (the driver lives in the area). We advised him to pick up load Tuesday. The driver arrived to load between 8:30-9pm Tues. The Load location had shut down for the day; therefore, the load was loaded 6/29 Wed am. A few hours after the load was in route, I received a call from the driver stating he now had trailer issues and has to stop to get the trailer repaired. Kevin Donley then called me Yelling at me that he was not aware the truck did not get loaded until Wed. am. I was under the impression that the truck broker kept up with the status of the trucks they hire. Needless to say Kevin and I had a heated argument. Kevin Donley then proceeded to state that now the watermelons were his until we paid him for the first load and the load that was still sitting in Alabama. Kevin was informed if he held the load, we would call the police. Kevin eventually, had the truck back in route. The load did not arrive on time 6/30 Thursday; therefore, the DC rescheduled delivery to 7/1 Friday am. The truck is a Vented Van loaded with Seeded Watermelons. It was very hot. The driver did not open the trailer doors. The DC rejected 8 bins for leaking.

I personally had no further contact with Kevin Donley or the driver since the load delivered until we paid for the load. Myself and Rose received several threatening emails from Kevin Donley. Our Payment Terms per Freight Confirmation are 30 days from receipt of POD. The POD came with the Invoice received 7/11/11. 8/12 we mailed a check to Ultra. We deducted $50.00 for the POD not being faxed on 7/1 (as stated on BOL and Freight Confirmation). We agreed to pay lumper, with a receipt. We did not receive a receipt; therefore, deducted $60.00 with a note, once receipt received we would pay the $60.00. We also deducted for the 8 bins of melons.

Kevin Donley had threatened us with various measures. We warned Kevin about Slander. We are now forwarding his posting to our Corporate Attorney.
