Complaint Description:
Sales promises to secure the sale. Company changed promises and required more money to deliver our possessions. Fraud at its best. Over promised.
Scheduled move for my 88 yr. old mother with Kyle. He understood that the location was in a remote area of NM. He assured me she would have a 26Ft. truck to herself. Said he would accompany the move as it was a family owned business. He was to confirm the time of arrival. Stated the movers would arrive at her home about 8:30 completely pack and load her 8000lbs by the end of Z day. the

Your Desired Resolution:
Scheduled a move with Kyle for my 88 yr. old mother who lives in a remote area of NM. He assured me that she would have a 26 ft. truck all her own for her belongings and could pay with credit card as I would not be at the receiving end of the move. He said the 3 man crew would do a complete pack and load her estimated 8000 lbs in one day. Stated the crew would
be there no later than 8:30. Received a call from the 2 man crew  called at 9:00 and they said they would arrive at 2:30pm from DFW.  Finally arrived and did not have enough packing paper to pack her valuable china and crystal collection.
Crew packing her collection with her dish towels to protect her belongings.Unacceptable as I had told Kyle she lived in a remote area. Crew had to travel to the next city to spend the night to pick up additional materials to complete the packing in the morning. Finally arrived at 11:30 am. to complete the packing. Driver received a call from AVI the owner of the company to pick up another move. Kyle left her armiore off the inventory list. Which I feel was intentional to have the customer deviate from the inventory list. We had to remove small items from the truck to ensure that we did not deviate from the inventory list. AVI said that if we deviation at all from the list is would result in an additional 15% fuel charge plus .45 per pound in
overages. In addition, instead of access to the full truck I was only allowed a certain amount of cubic sq.ft. or I would be charged. He even wanted me to pay for the removal of the pieces from the truck. Not disclosed in the original agreement. Many frustrating conversations with Mary, Mary's boss. who said they wanted me to be happy in the end and
would apply compensation in the end. Did everything they could do to have the truck leave the home with her valuables. Upon arrival, the drivers could not unload until my husband paid them in cash for the delivery or they were headed to storage with her belongings. When he came back with the cash they demanded an additional 150.00 per hour for a waiting fee. What about my waiting fee? Kyle said if the estimate was over there would be a refund in the end however we ended up paying
almost 4800 for the move and the original estimate was for 4200. BTW we were under the estimated 8000 lbs. I had to rent a Uhaul and purchase a ticket for my husband to travel to NM ti retrieve the remainder of her belongings. Moving her to a new location after being in her home for almost 20 years watching her belonging being loaded into boxes that were not packed appropriately. The undue stress on my poor Mother. I lost a weeks worth of work as well. The crew even admitted that every move that they do is just as traumatic for each customer and the company does this all the time. I feel completely violated by the company. They took advantage of every avenue. Read your contract before you sign because they will use it to their advantage at every opportunity. Kyle said don't worry just sit back relax and enjoy the show. It was a show for sure they sure know how to manipulate any situation to their advantage. What protection does the consumer have?
Do not use this company. I am extremely dissatisfied with the company and they customer service employees of the company. This move has cost me more money than my mother had. We have not finished unpacking her
things. However, I am sure we will have many broken pieces. All I can say is "DO NOT USE A TEAM MOVERS."
