I cancelled a moving co. after receiving a call from Earl with A team moving in Plano assuring me that they were a reputable co. and that they were committed to customer service.

While thinking I was saving $20.00 on a local move (2.8 miles) for my personal residence I would be out more than $300.00 due to A team moving's inability to move while there was wind. Although it was windy I rode my motorcycle to and from work the same day they had delays due to wind???

My move was to take place on June 6th 2008 and I received a call from Earl on June 5th saying that I was on schedule for my move and less than 15 minutes later I received another call saying that it was windy that day and that "maybe" they could get to me on Saturday or Sunday!

Well needless to say I had my walk through on my house at 10:00 a.m. on saturday June 6th and that wouldn't be acceptable. But the company I had previously cancelled on was gracious enough to fit me in since the wind didn't delay their moves on June 5th.

All I can say is that my confirmation # was W231310 with A Team Movers in Plano Texas and for anyone moving you will understand that the inability for a company to schedule a move then cancel is unacceptable. I would think that in the dead of winter people in Michagan can still get moved but if you decide to go with A team movers out of Plano Texas in the dead of summer you may or may not be able to move as you have planned.

So Movers Beware as A Team Movers obviously are not concerned about the customers and CAN and WILL foul up your move as they did mine.

Good Luck to all of you that are relocating, moving, or just trying to get something from place A to Z and please heed my warning the headache of doing business with A Team Movers isn't worth the aggrevasion.

I was also Scammed by A-Team Movers

AUTHOR: Fort Worth - (United States of America)

POSTED: Tuesday, January 22, 2013

I was also scammed by A-Team.   The move was so awful, I am still disturbbed by what happened.  This company drug out my move for several hours, and also held my stuff hostage until I paid the extra fee.   2 hours and 50 min's to move out of a 1200sf apartment is a joke.   Not to mention the incredible unprofessionalism and rudeness, to me and my wife.   And to top off the worst moving experience of my life, the peeled out of my driveway, drove through my neighbors lawn, and busted 5 of t heir sprinkler heads.   I too had to deal with Mary and Cindy.  Cindy sold me a bill of goods and it's my fault for trusting her.   This isn't over.

A team dishonest

AUTHOR: Anonymous - (United States of America)

POSTED: Thursday, November 01, 2012

Unfortunately I found out about A Team the hard way like many of you who have found this page. A Team gave us a quote held our furniture hostage and charged us double the amount for them to deliver it. Everything they did with our move was dishonest. They fraudulently changed invoices, took too much time on purpose, held our belongings hostage to extort more money and the list could go on and on. Avi and Mary were the most deceptive people I have ever encountered in my life. There is something we all can do though to prevent this from happening to more people.... Please please report your complaints to southwest movers association, the secretary of state and the Texas department of transportation. I am currently working with southwest movers association and the Texas department of motor vehicles. The more complaints that are filed with these organizations the better chance we have at preventing this company from victimizing anyone else!

To file a complaint with Texas department of motor vehicles please call 888-368-4689

And if you are reading this Avi and Mary...all the thievery you are committing it will come back to you ten fold!

Do not use A Team movers

AUTHOR: Lisa - (United States of America)

POSTED: Monday, September 03, 2012

My name is Lisa and I did have the unfortunate experience of using A Team movers out of Plano. The packing crew did come dressed in an A Team shirt. The service I was looking for was for them to pack my entire house and move me from Austin Texas to Chapel Hill NC.

The first thing I had to deal with was the packing crew not wanting to pack all my belongings. It was very late in the day when they came and I was tired so many of the items I just didn't push it. Even after all the items they said they couldn't pack one small item was left in every room. This was annoying since I have a very small car and couldn't take any extra stuff with me.

One of my biggest complaints is the fact that after I was packed around 10pm the main guy came to be with almost 1000 dollars added on my bill. The original bill was just over 4 thousand, the new bill was now almost 5. He said this was because some items were not on by original quote. This really bothered me because many large items, one dresser and a tv stand I chose not to move and were on the quote. The bill going up 25% was outrageous to me but what was I going to do have them unpack my items and loss the money I had to put down. So I had to suffer with it.

The best part of my displeasure came when my items arrived to my new location. Unlike the first crew this crew didn't wear an A team shirt and could not care less how I felt. I was told many times that the main guy didn't care and wasn't bothered by any customer need.

Here is what I had to deal with... I am a single woman and right off the bat the driver wanted to ride in my car with me to the bank. I was nervous but he had my items so I agreed. He was very chatty and told me all about how he can when ever he feels like charge a customer extra. That really bothered me since just a few days earlier I was charge extra almost 25%. During the delivery he noticed my house had two floors and stated he may have to charge extra for that. After I heard how he can charge what ever when ever, I panicked and told them to put everything down stairs and that I would take it up, which I did.

My final complaint is that after they finished I noticed I was missing my plasma HD big screen flat screen tv. I asked him where it was and he showed me the paper showing only the two small tvs he delivered. I freaked out and he said no problem just call the office. I am very worried that it was not on the original item list which I signed after finding out I had to pay almost a thousand dollars more at 10pm at night. I didn't see that only two tvs where on the sheet. After what the second guy told me I don't trust them at all and feel like a theft occurred with my tv which I can't replace because I just sent almost 5 thousand dollars moving.

After opening all my boxes I was shocked to see that everything was wrapped in heavy moving blankets even a plastic baby gate which would only increase the weight. One entire box was filled with empty shoe boxes. Out of all the questions the packers had about not taking times I needed why on earth would they pack empty boxes. In addition to my tv I am missing all my tools. I didn't have tons but I had the basic wrenches, screw drives and heavy duty stapler, all gone. So now I don't even have a hammer to hang a picture. Many things were broken, ie the legs to my sons computer table, a wine glass, a turtle night light, just to name a few. The boxes looked like they had been thrown and even the plastic tubs I made them use were damaged beyond the ability to be reused.

My honest opinion is never to use A Team movers because the movers are not honest and just don't get your items to your location safe and in the condition they were in. I am personally so freaked out and untrusting I will never use any movers to move me again. I will do it my self because I can't trust them to rip me off with the price, steal my stuff, and break my stuff. If you do want to pay a mover thousands of your hard earned money, don't use A Team.

Lisa

A TEAM MOVERS! Still unethical

AUTHOR: Bobby11 - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, June 27, 2008

Is it me or is anyone else a little bewildered how some random person that had a move obviously many months prior to me just happens to stumble on my complaint and then comment on their behalf?

I'm a lot of things but fair and honest just happen to be included in those things. And I'm certain that if indeed Victre if that is even a name would have received the same call I did just hours prior to his move from A Team movers he too would have been very upset and probably would have had the same attitude as me towards them. So, yes if they had showed up in their beautiful uniforms and nice trucks as they were supposed to I'm certain I would have felt the same as "Victre" but since he got moved as planned and I got shafted well you be the judge the consumer if you want to take a chance on MAYBE you will be in "Victre's" shoes then best of luck but if you end up in mine then you have been for warned.

Thanks for at least thinking about it and if even one person chooses someone else over A Team then I am grateful and if for some reason someone else falls victim to the unprofessionalism as I have then please report it because this was more than just a headache it was uncalled for and shouldn't be a part of business practices...

Bobby

A Team Moving & Storage & Earl M Movers

AUTHOR: Bobby11 - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, June 27, 2008

UPDATE I was sent an email threatening legal action against me for defamation but being that all is true regarding the way A Team Movers left me in a huge bind I have continued my reports with all agencies that they are affiliated with and I have received NO further correspondence regarding this matter nor have I received anything as far as even an apology but when dealing with companies such as A Team Movers I guess one shouldn't have any expectations. I mean look what happened when I expected them to show up to do my move as they were hired to do. NOTHING...

I had no problems with A-Team!

AUTHOR: Victre - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, June 11, 2008

In response to the claim against A-Team Moving and Storage. My name is Victre, and I a previous customer of this wonderful company. They completed my move in Carrollton last fall and I couldn't have been happier. They showed up with extremely professional crews, in uniforms! Their trucks were in great condition, and they handled my belongings with great care. I felt comfortable with the sales staff at A-Team, Earl was not my salesman, but I did speak with him on several occasions and he answered any question I had about the moving process. He was polite, and very professional. A-Team upheld our contract, and there were no surprises during my move.

I would like to point out that the only complaint about A-Team, is from a person they never moved! How can someone complain about moving services they never received? I would highly recommend them to any of my friends and colleagues moving from Texas and the surrounding areas.
