Sold my cousin a dalmatian, when they took it to the vet he said she had a nasty upper respiratory infection and was deaf.  They have tried every diet available but she is also extremely prone to diarrhea.  The breeder says this is all because we gave her her puppy shots--the same shots every dog in the US gets!!  And at no point offered to take the dog back, or even help with all the vet bills.

After 1 year she couldn't be around any other animals, tried to bite my 2 y/o when we were out to visit.  Fortunately she is muzzled when anyone but immediate family is over, she was told to do this by animal control who told her A to Z was a known puppymill.

I found out Carla's big in the dalmatian world, so sure she will have no trouble placing any puppies thru them.  This is for the poor unfortunate soul, someone like my cousin, who believes they are getting a better dog in a purebred dog.

This is a Hoax - followup

I realized after I wrote my rebuttal and submitted it, that I misread the information contained in the original fraudulent report.  That report cannot be altered, so I provide this additional information.  I misread all the different ways to refer to A to Z Dalmatians in the title and thought of Arizona.  The information in my rebuttal is still correct and true, but the part about never selling a puppy to someone in Arizona is irrelevant.  It should have said I never sold a puppy to anyone in California, where the originator lives.

I have only bred two litters while living on the west coast (the other litters were from when I lived in Alabama and North Carolina).  Of the two litters I bred here in Washington, the one I referred to from 15 years ago, had only four puppies, one went to Alabama in exchange for the stud fee and I kept three because the 101 Dalmatians movie had made it hard to place puppies in responsible homes.  The last one died in my arms, as I said.

The only other litter I bred here in Washington was bred approximately 22 years ago.  All puppies were sold to local persons and I kept contact with them as long as the owners were willing.  I never received any complaints.  All of those puppies logically would have passed away about 8 years ago.  So, it makes no sense why "Michael" from California would be submitting a complaint in January of this year.

Again, I believe this report to be totally fraudulent.

I have been involved with Dalmatians for about 40 years.  I have never been discribed as "big in the Dalmatian world", though I did manage to show two of my dogs through to their AKC Championships.  My last litter was fifteen years ago and I know all those puppies are accounted for.  The last one died in my arms in Fall 2012.  I have bred only five litters in 40 years of involvement with Dalmatians - which hardly qualifies me to be described as a puppy mill.  Every puppy I ever bred was BAER tested and the very few who were deaf were humanely euthanized while I cried over them.  I did live in Arizona, but never bred any litters while living there.  I got my first Dalmatians while living in Arizona, the first was a rescue and the second I purchased from a reputable breeder.  I have never sold a puppy to anyone in Arizona.  I have never received any complaints from anyone who bought a puppy from me, much less the falsehoods reported in this complaint.  Many of the people who bought puppies from me said my Puppy Sales Contract was a blessing and they were comforted to know that I would stand behind any puppy I bred and take it back at ANY time, for ANY reason.

I believe this report is totally bogus and created only to spam this site about supposed puppy mills.  The person who wrote it should be required to provide legally documented proof of these allegations.  If that person fails to do so, the report should be removed from this site.  Furthermore, any other reports by this person should be reviewed to determine if there is a valid basis for any of them.

It is a huge red flag when a breeder does not offer a health guarantee upon adoption of the dog. If the breeder does not do background checks and ask for applications and etc., that my friend is also a red flag that this may be a puppy mill.
