Was looking for a contractor to finish drywall and install tile for my parents as a gift. Found several handymen. Was looking for multiple quotes. Shaun Mills with A-Z begged for the job, claomed his phone has not been ringing and my call for work was an answer to his prayers.
Paid some of the work upfront (stupid!!) he showed up for a few hours, told my dad he lost wallet and $300, requested. $200 more as well as a loan for $5 to buy lunch!!!
Was arrested that evening. Did not show for work next day. Turned off phone and had been unreachable. Had one good rating on Angies. Nothing bad elsewhere. Complete piece of trash. Took advantage of a couple big hearts. I am terrified that something worse may happen.
