I took 1995 Ford Explorere to AAMCO in Woodbridge, VA (Shift Right Inc.) for a Diagnostic on 9/25 at 9am. Got a callback same day at 2pm and I was told need to replace the tran. control module, speed sensor, fluid and filter. I approved the service and I was promised that it will be ready on the 9/26.
I got a call on 9/26 at 2pm and I was told that the part shiooed was not correct and I was assured that they
will send someone to pick-up the right part and I will be able to pick-up my car on 9/27 after 9 am.
On 9/27 at 6pm the Manager Mr. Don Nickel called me
and told me that again the wrong part was shipped and my car will not be ready until Monday. I told him that I was told that the part will not be shipped but send someone to pick-up the part and I asked him that I have a
rental car if AAMCO will give me a credit. I was told my the Manager that I will not be charged for the Diagnostic service and I can come and pick up my car on 9/28.
I picked up my car and took it to Ford and I have a Diagnostic report that all I need was a fluid and Filter change and the control moduel and speed sensor is good. Thanks God they did not get the right parts, I was going to pay for parts I did not need. NOT THIS TIME AAMCO.

Dave,
Do you blame Mesfin for being upset. First you attempt to steal his money, then baffle him with BS. He has every right not to listen to it.
This is an all-to-frequent occurrence at AAMCO. We know that often there is a policy to drive up costs to your victims, by means of incentives to your sales personnel. How would you feel if your physician charged you for a very expensive procedure you later found out was totally unnecessary.

mr mesfins ford expkorer had an overdrive light flashing same as check eng. light but for trans.had trouble codes for speed sensor and gear ratio t/a/b if have codes w/ no driving problem replace pcm modual 1st if wireing ok on speed sensor ok replace sensor mr mesfin was not told to come get his car untill he became baligerant on the phone towards don i spoke to mr mesfin and he hung the phone up on me i tried to apalagize to mr mesfin 4 delay these things happen he wont listen the diagnoses was correct if he keeps driving he will damage trans
