Since June of 2007, I've been ripped off by Aamco Transmissions aka T&K Crawford Inc. in Asheville, NC. Tim Crawford first told me I was looking at a price of 1,200 for everything to repair my vehicle. I declined to pay that price, then he called me later that afternoon telling me that I don't need the work he previously thought I needed. Crawford told me the price of the work needed would be around $600 for a new Torque Converter, with the price of labor and would be ready the following week. I asked him to put it in writing and agreed to the work.

When I returned to Aamco Transmissions to pay for my car after returning the rental car, Crawford was not around and passed me off to his assistant Jack. The bill of the work increased from $600 to $2,254.00. I asked what this was about and to contact Crawford because this was not the price I was given. Jack then went to the back to talk with Crawford on the phone, to return telling me that $2,254.00 is the price quoted and that Crawford wasn't taking his call. And we would settle it the following day. Jack asked me to please not tell anyone about this matter.

When I met with Crawford to pick up my automobile, I disagreed on the price he charged me. Crawford brought me back to his office and became very volitile and aggressive. Crawford then threatened me that he would, "Put a lien on my car, and house."  said then after numerous threats that I could handle it with Aamco Transmissions home office, once I paid. I paid the $2,254.00 to get my car.  The Aamco Home office refused to refund me money Crawford said they would once they were aware of the issue.

Recently this fall, I received a call from Tim's assistant Jack, who said he would refund me the money to resolve this problem.  Jack said he would refund me $1,654 for the problem I encountered with T&K Crawford Inc. Jack said he was buying the business and wanted to start off on a clean slate.

A few weeks later I recieved a call from Crawford about Jack who was not purchasing the business and that Jack had stole money from him. Crawford said he would contact me about this issue but has yet to do so.  I contacted Crawford at Aamco Transmissions a few weeks ago and he still continues to dance around the problem. I've reached the final complaint with the Better Business Bureau, since Aamco Transmissions aka T&K Crawford Inc. is not a member, they do not have to resolve any issue. I can not drive my automobile and have had continuous problems since.
