Aaron Rental, Sales And Lease misleading ads, deceptive ads/practice, threats of credit reporting. I have bee tring to return the product to them and they refuse to come pick it up. They never show up at my door, I only call with a computer automated service. Atlanta Georgia

I rented a flat panel 42' TV from Aaron rental, sales and lease. I was informed at the time of rental I could turn it in anytime, just call and they will come and pick it up. I have had it for four months now, the agreement says $2400 due at end of lease or $1400 or so to buy as same as cash to retain ownership. I found that to be to much being that the same TV retails for $798 cash out. I decided to return the TV so I can save to buy me the same at $798 and it be mine being I pay $118 every month for rental.

On January 9, 2009 I called the sales store for which the TV came from to call in a pick up, they told me that I had to pay for the whole month of January and two more months to equal up to six months of an agreement I have signed that says I have to rent it for six months and then renew and if I don't renew they still can charge for that TV. I went off. I said 'I am not paying for a TV that I don't have that will be rented out to some other person at the same time I am paying for it for two more months to be scammed into keeping it somemore months-so they will get double the rent for that one TV.

I told them the TV was at my address, I was not running from them and they can come get it when ever they feel they are tired of playing games. January 23, 2009 they call again asking for payment, again I said on tape I am not paying for it and come get the product(junk) out of my house on the January 31, 2009. February 3,2009 the computer automated service call me again I call teh store I gained the TV from to say come get it and you are not getting any money, they did not come.

February 12, 2009 they(general manager) call again to say I was harboring stolen merchandise and they want their TV. I informed them I was going to call the news people and have all the other people they have scammed to collectively sue them for bad business. They say we can't go to the police, I said 'A police station is right behind me where I live-which it is-I can look out my back door and see the station you can go right over their and get them to come over here with you and I will tell them the same thing I have been telling you. I am not paying you another dime and you can have your TV as I have been saying on tape but I am not paying you for a TV you claim one can try it before you buy it-no long term obligation-no credit needed-no credit check-and you terminate the agreement after none payment (I acknowledge evertime I am recording them) We can't go to the police they said. I said 'You have been threating me with the police and theft charges now you say you can't do that. I don't have time for games' They told me they don't have the gase to come out there and no one is at home.

I hungup and make sure I had it on tape. Not to mention they released my personal information to some stranger on the streets, and they lease to latinos that don't have proper ID or is legel in this country. They cover them in their paper work which is fraud.

So today February 13, 2009 the TV still sits on the floor tile they come to get it. I have voice recordings of the phone calls, I never refuse to not answer I answer every time they call. I record it and write it down. I want to know If I have a law suit, they are ripping people off, they are trying to rip me off They are scared to go to the police that I can tell, I want to collectively sue these people to put them out of business so they can not do this to anyone else. I had an agreement that said:

'I can terminate the agreement without penalty at any time after expiration fo the lease term by surrending or returning the leased porperty in good repair and paying all payments and other fees through the date of surrender or return. I agree that there is not refund if I return or surrender the leased property before the end of a renewal term. If I fail to pay the total of payments or if I fail to return or surrender the leased proerty when due, or if I breach any of my other obligations, I will be in default of this agreement and my right to retain possession of the leased property will automatically terminated.

In such event, Aaron will be entitled to immediate possesssion of the leased property where ever located and I will become immediately liable for any unpaid portion of the total of payments and for the amount of any unpaid portion of any payment that is due after expiration of the lease term and for any other fees, and will be liable for all costs of collection and repossession, including reasonable attorney fees, to teh exten allowed by law'.

As mentioned I voluntary tried to surrender the property, they wont come get it. If I fail to return the property the agreement will automatically become terminated. If I fail to return or surrender is the key words to me. I never refused to return-I want them to come get the porperty they wont come get it.
